How would that work? A large transport force is spotted moving toward Trunk. The IJN carriers react but likely stay NW or W of Truk to use their range advantage. Perhaps the transports move to Truk covered by LRCAP from the carriers 3-4 hexes back so the IJN attack is concentrated on the transports. The LRCAP downs many IJN A/C. Day 2...the USN carriers close range. Many things could go wrong. [:D]

It might be costly but you could have a lot of 4Es on Naval Attack to wear down the enemy CAP. Have lots of subs to blanket where you think his carriers might hang out.

Wow, quite a week in SoCal. Really bad. ICU's full. FEMA has deployed temporary overflow structures. Children's hospital taking some adult patients. I got the Pfizer vaccine Friday. Made my arm pretty sore for 2 d and some fatigue but not terrible. I think part of the reason I am tired is I'm not sleeping well. I woke up at 3 AM on Saturday hanging upside down from a big chandelier with my arms folded....and the neighborhood seems curiously free of insects.
