Lol. I suppose it could be seen like that. Though to be fair the UK has one of the largest defence budgets in the world. Moreover, there is now political support for an increase. There has already been a big increase in chemical and biological warfare research – and the creation of another 1,000 man cyber warfare division. Actual RAF stealth aircraft. I must say UK has very impressive military forces, both present and past, as I saw the documentary about the colonial Hong Kong. They even proposed to deploy nukes in Hong Kong to deter Chinese invasion if they want to forcefully retake Hong Kong (which isn't happens after the agreement in 1984).

Second in NATO and sixth in the world is still impressive. You have to bear in mind that we could return to fourth in the world. The Saudi spending spree is unlikely to last long in the long term - and the UK will overtake India if it increases its spending by the amount that many politicians now want.

There's an air-launched version of the Popeye Turbo too, so it could have been that. The Delilah only has a 30kg warhead, and while we don't know what the targets were, that seems a little on the low side. Also, do we know what SAMs were defending T-4 and engaged the missiles?
