Tecmeister -> [FIXED B662] Scenario becomes Unresponsive (1/25/2015 12:42:46 PM)

Creating a new scenario and testing it as each group of assets are added and missions defined. Had everything working, as far as I could tell, except the air missions wouldn't launch from the Russian airfield. Had played more than a day of game time before quitting out to examine the issue.

Figured out I left out the Runway Access Points, so I added three. Simple enough, I thought. Unassigned the air base units and re-grouped them including the Access Points, and saved the scenario. As far as I can remember, it's the only change I made.

Playing the scene 4 more times, and the game freezes without an error message between 8 and 27 minutes of game play. I've attached the scenario and a Word document with system hardware info and screen captures of system resources during game play. I don't see anything that would cause the problem.

This is my first scenario and I consider it still a work in progress, but if someone can identify the reason for the game to stop, I'd really appreciate it, so I can avoid it in the future.

Let me know if there is any other information you need.

Interesting. It doesn't actually seem to crash, time just stops moving forward but the whole UI is still functional. I can select units etc. And in fact, even when I load a different scenario or create a blank one, it all loads and seems to work but unpausing does not cause time to start moving forward. Have to restart the game. Are you seeing the same thing?

The good news is that this is all in build 624 (1.06) and in the latest closed beta build it keeps running so this may already be fixed by the next patch which hopefully becomes public in the not to distant future.

Yes, the UI seems to stay functional after the clock stops, unless I try to save the game to see if I can pick it back up after reloading.

Fixed in Build 662.

Excellent news, looking forward to the next update to finish tweaking the scenario. In the meantime, working on another...

I've been a Harpooner since the game was released on 360K floppies, I think I had an IBM AT clone at the time. [:)] I've only scratched the surface of COMMAND and I like what I see. Looking forward to learning LUA and creating a masterpiece or two.

[:)] Fix confirmed. THANKS
