Ok, I see there is a separate drop down for the manual on the games home page, maybe I got it from there and added it to my folder. Not sure, I can't remember. I can e-mail you the pdf if you like, my address can be found by clicking my name on the left <<<.

What i don't understand is that it appear's ingame so it has to be in the directory somewhere right? /

Hi, the manual is actually inside the DesertWar.jar (if you unzip it, it's a HTML file in the org/bk/manual directory). There is a separate PDF that you can download from the website (but I didn't actually do that one and it might be out of date). There'll be a better, proper, manual (PDF) when this thing is done though, but the online or the ingame one (both the same) is best now. Thanks! Brian

I have a suspicion that any manual on pdf you have is VERY out of date (I also suspect that I made that pdf, many versions ago). The correct manual is the one that 1) comes with the game or 2) you get as a web page from the game site. I do not think that there is any up to date pdf for v1.5.16. Btw I helped Brian and John to test the game and I really like DW! At this scale it has the best implementation of supply and C&C that I know of.

If you want the latest version in pdf, download the html version from the game website and print to pdf--worked for me, although note that the web version is not up to date either.

How are you starting it? You should start it with by clicking on: startgamewithconsole

startgamewithconsole works ok here. Edit: The game starts but and will open the editor, but it won't open any scenarios [I tried 3 or 4 then gave up]. v1.5.18

I'd guess the game can't access your harddisk?? Can you save a scenario (in the Editor, try and use File -> save).
