Good Morning! Have a nice Monday!

This is an oxymoron, a non-sequitur, a paradox, an anachronism!
But thanks for the thought!

I don't work and no church bells to disturb the sleep. [8D]

Paradox, isn't that two people with M.D. after their name?

Up here!

INP!!!! [8D][8D][8D][8D]

All Hail THE THREAD!!!

RangerJoe -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (9/18/2019 6:38:05 PM)

All hail the thread!

I made about a 4.4 miles of a 6.4 mile walk today, then I got a ride. I was suppposed to have a ride there and back but I did not. So it is a sore day. Maybe I should take a picture of my right foot . . .

Orm -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (9/18/2019 7:04:52 PM)

Seems like a short walk for a ranger... [;)]

... and you may very well take a picture of your foot, but, please, do not post that picture here. [:D]

I used to walk 20+ miles (32+ kilometers) in full gear years ago, but that was not in a Ranger unit - I never was in a Ranger unit.

Plus, it was warm and humid which bothers my asthma.

But I did have a large coffee (24 oz or about .75 litre) with a nice chocolate frosted doughnut . . .

Schani59 -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (9/18/2019 8:31:10 PM)

Listening to a local radio AM station running errands. Topic was the new Burger King Impossible Burger. Someone called with a new name. The Grass Whopper.[:D]
Also across the river in East Grand Forks. A whitetail doe and a couple of kids caught on camera playing.[8|]

I walked much more than I normally do on Sunday (just over 5 miles) in near 100F temps. My right foot is still swollen today. I did take a picture of my right foot... Not showing it it, though! [:D]

RangerJoe -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (9/18/2019 9:55:16 PM)

Zorch saw a picture of my right foot with a blister after I walked over 8 miles. The problem was, the last part was a gravel road with rocks scattered all over so there was no clear path to walk. The side of the road was clay with dried ruts to make it uncomfortable. The rocks was at least 2 cm in size or .8 inches. He did not want me to post anymore pictures of that foot. I just asked for people viewing it to ignore the big blister and count the toes. I am missing two on that right foot.

That sounds like a lot of sugar/carbs before a hike.....I might have to take the kayak out.

I did not want my blood sugar to crash - I might have been staggering or flopping on a highway . . .

Sounds like enough caffeine and sugar to get you through a walk.[:D]

It makes for a good breakfast when I will be busy walking around so my sugar does not get too low. That has happened and the Registered Nurse was upset with me. [:-]
