ORIGINAL: Schanilec Good morning all. -8F this morning. We have some spare arctic air to send your way. No, no. No need to thank us, we are here to help. Monday was a total total screw up by the national weather service. Sunday no travel advised by the computer models. Lifted at midnight. Monday was even worse and nothing by the weather service until a 12 vehicle crash 50 miles North of here. Including two semi's and two state partol cars. Then the state started to shut down the roads. The CDL drivers are being charged with care required. Are you kidding me. The National weather service lifted the travel advisory. Then the pile up happened and and hour later closed all highways out of Grand Forks 40 miles South to the Canadian border and West at Lakota to Crookstons Minnesota. The Semi drivers were at fault. Give me a break. WTF. You thinkl I like federal goverment. Hmmm. Look out the freaking window not the computer models. Idiots. Another one coming in tonight. Lets see how they handle this one. I drove for 12 years. Only time I wrecked was in a 120 MPH cross wind. The road was closed, but the weigh station didn't tell me that & let me go on. Blew me clear across a 2 lane interstate, the dirt median, and 2 lanes oncoming traffic, and 50 yards or so the other side. CHP was livid I was on that road, came snarling up into the ambulance at me because I endangered traffic. I came snarling right back at him pushed him right out the back screaming WTF did they let me go when they KNEW the road was closed. Then I walked over to the 9 news van covering the wreck and asked to talk to the reporter, with the CHP in tow saying I had to fill out the traffic report. Long story short, I got a letter of commendation from the CHP for that night [:D]
