Got a problem with HQ design.

Set up HQ in TOE...but it ignores my set up and sends staff from higher HQ until the HQ reaches 100% than it stops--except if you have losses it can give up staff if you add units to a HQ it gets more staff. It was meant as a convenience that the TOEs with staff only request as many as they need for 100% staff. It should however only take staff at a higher HQ if that higher HQ is not using the staff. That is the case I hope?

The related mobility issue is unintended and hard to avoid code-wise without creating new problems. You could prevent that from happening however by setting returns = No to the TOE of the HQs and manually adding more trucks.

I am considering adding a similar button like 'returns=yes/no' for 'extra staff'.

I went back through and only have one SFT for each unit. If I don't click on the right SFT it will not automatically put that into the specified unit, so I have to mess around until I figured out which one, which I have done. I also noticed that some of my US units have Japanese images but say anglosaxon for the people group. But when I produce them via auto replacement they show up with the correct images. I'm at a loss at what I could have done wrong, as I cannot find my mistake. If your able to point out what I'm missing, I would appreciate it. It appears that I'm missing something I just don't know what. I have also went back through my predefined units for each regime and they seem correct. Now the majority of them work fine, but like I stated earlier there are some which do not

I'd love to send you a screenshot...how do I do that...(take the screenshot).


When you are in the game screen to which you are referring, press the "alt" button plus the "Print Screen" button at the same time. Then open up MS Paint and right click and choose "paste". It will paste a copy of the screen shot you just took into MS Paint. Save as a JPEG so it can be uploaded into the forum.


OKAY, now how do I get it into the message...see box marked embed picture in post...says file is too large?

reduced size of file but it shows bigger in message than it appears on the game screen...still too small for me.

If the number of graphics per line were reduced by three and correspondingly increased in size to fit that might
be large enough for me to see them...or at least see them so I could figure out what they show. I don't mind if
I'd have to scroll thru the pictures.

Found a problem:

when I open a turn it shows zero production, but in the HQ's I can see that stuff was produced. Same is true for the statistic graph of production, it shows zero for me and my opponent.

Anybody seeing any logic to those missing production turns? anything special that seems to be causing it?

Yes, in both games where I have observed the flat line graph I have some custom tank models.

I haven't done anything special except designing TOE's and give them to units. The stuff is still produced, but the statistics are messed up.

Attached is my TO&E template file (std.atgtoe.txt) shown above. If you want to use/modify simply save to your ATG savedgame folder and remove the '.txt' so is it std.atgtoe. Create your random game and import the template.

Okay, small problem. In my test scenario.
Every once in a while the NATO graphics disappears from the map. All I have to do to get them back is open one of the TOE windows.


I have a few units that I have not made TOE's for but most have TOE's...so far I got at least 30. Need a separate one for EACH people (and there are 27 different peoples). Even when the TOE's are exactly alike except for which people form the unit.

Be nice if when designing a TOE you can set the nationality of all the parts of the TOE at the same time--now you have to designate each one separately. Maybe even copy another already designed TOE and just change the nationality of it's parts (and it's name of course).

@LJB,

Not 100% sure it works. But you might want to use the TOE import/export functionality while being inside the editor. The people should be overwritten for the regime you opened the TOE model designer for.

I'm making leaders, have checked everything in the rulvars and it seems I have all the correct stuff checked. The problem I'm having is that I'm not able to add a leader to an HQ in the editor, but when I start the game I can then add them.

I think you spotted an issue there. Will have to fix that.

I found part of the problem and fixed it sort of. In the units section where you make your units, I forgot to click on choose your leader or something like that. But I did notice that when I did this the corps HQ reverts back to the non-TO&E model that I made for it. Also how does one revert back to 1 in numbering your HQ's as when I change it back it goes to the next number. Thanks

Did a very minor update for lion. v2.21d uploaded.

It fixed the change leader in unit tab of the editor to work together with the TOE models.

@Lion,
Let me know if it works for you.

I think after this I am going to change v221 to public beta.

No body any other issues?

Webizen I wanted to thank you for sharing your TOE, you saved me a lot of time [8D]

Vic, I tried to establish a TOE from the elements a unit already has and found no way, if this is implemented can anybody show me how to do it? If not how hard would it be to implement it?
