Gettysburg -> Can not play the full Game ( Error Message Make Vertex buffer) (7/1/2015 8:45:58 PM)

after starting the game and choose a menue like battles, the game loads and and loads. later i get a Error message Make Vertex Buffer.

Win7 64 Bit 4MB Ram

Please attach your DxDiag report file.

How to get a Directx Dialog file:

1. click on "START" (on Windows 8 Press "Windows Key" + "R" and go to step 3)
2. click "run"
3. type in "dxdiag" and click "OK"
4. check through the tabs and perform all tests
5. click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice
6. zip the file and attach to your post

It should run as part of the install process. Try running the installer again and make sure you allow DX to install.

As well as using the installer you can download and install DirectX from the link below:

run the installer again, but there is no option for me to allow DX to install.
After this i download DirectX and install this, but the Vertex problem stays

have you tired running in a window or full screen and see if it makes any difference?

Tryt also to set to the minimum the graphical options of game and see if the battle is load

disable you're anti virus or firewall, popup blocker or spyware program but first make sure your unplugged and offline, to check if it's something on the pc that is stopping it from working and also make sure you run the program as admin from a admin account, good luck

Try turn off Threaded Optimization in the nVidia control panel, is one of solution I found for this kind of error.

Try also to run it with the task manager open so we can see the info on the memory usage you have at the moment of error. Take a screenshot and post it here.

for me i'd uninstall the game, and make sure the install folder is clean / fully empty and reboot the pc and re install it and try again, don't alter the default install folder or drive and install all it asks, if it errors again then you may have something else wrong with your o/s or hardware, do you have any other problems on the pc? with any other app or game?

how old in the install of the windows 7?

all upto date patch wise etc?

i have never have Problems with any other games. See this error message the first time. All devices are up to date

Very strange[&:], only the waterloo Battles and the tutorials makes the vertex error message. All othere things runs fine for me. Make serveral new installs ( thank you zakblood).

then i'm stumped, last try, have you altered the screen size and tried to play it in windows mode and not full screen at a very low res? then if it fails even at this, it must be hardware or driver related but may be hard to sort over the net, for me i'd swap the aged vga card as it's old in the tooth but many won't like suggestion if other stuff still work ok with it.

Sandboxes didn't crash? whatever is their battle dimension? Also using the same Waterloo map of scenarios?

it crashes at army level[&:]. i give up, all other games run fine on my rig. (scourge of war Gettysburg)to.i don`think that is a Problem of my graphik Card or devices.
I make several Tests with my Graphik card and there are no Problems. I think the Problem has to do with the game (DirectX)

if it was a major flaw or bug in the game code for (DirectX) more would be posting it, as there not / none atm, it seems the error is somewhere else related so that's the problem that needs fixing, but to find it is another thing on a net chat / type...

Can you attach your logs after the error (in SOWWL directory under you documents path)? MyGUI.log and SowWL.log are the files.
