Yeah its definitely not simple atm, those lines are used in configuring IIS not IIS Express. Note where it says "<UseIIS>False</UseIIS>". I did this project to teach myself how to make a site [:D] and its my first site using ASP.NET technology; its not packaged up nicely with a bow on top hehe.

RoryAndersonCDT -> RE: Web based WITPAE PBEM Viewer (7/8/2015 10:51:10 PM)

That being said, if anyone would like to see a map of their units in an AAR or game vs the computer (and you use Tracker) I'd love to try to import and display your data.

I'd be especially interested if you are using a specially modified scenario, I'm curious if the system can handle it.

Numdydar -> RE: Web based WITPAE PBEM Viewer (7/8/2015 11:00:35 PM)

I've got one as Japan against the Allied AI that you could use. I'm in mid '44 and have got a single Tracker file for almost the entire game. The DB is about 1G in size. In case you want to try something really large [:)]

RoryAndersonCDT -> RE: Web based WITPAE PBEM Viewer (7/8/2015 11:03:29 PM)

Sure [:D] Send me your exported Ship, Airgroup, Bases, TFs and LCU's csvs and your most recent report files (Just one set) to baloogan@gmail.com

RoryAndersonCDT -> RE: Web based WITPAE PBEM Viewer (7/8/2015 11:05:24 PM)

oh, and if you are using a modified scenario I'll also need the "WITPair001.csv" etc files from the scenario.

KenchiSulla -> RE: Web based WITPAE PBEM Viewer (7/8/2015 11:14:58 PM)

Ok, thanks

Baloogan, I have registered to see both sides... Are you as players seeing my comments?

KenchiSulla -> RE: Web based WITPAE PBEM Viewer (7/8/2015 11:16:40 PM)

I probably have some time tommorow, I could forward you data for a DBB:C with stacking limits game...

Baloogan, I have registered to see both sides... Are you as players seeing my comments?

Nope, the only comments I see are made by folks who are registered with a side restriction only to allies, likewise for TheHistoricalGamer, he can only see comments made by folks locked to japan's side. This helps prevent spoilers [:D]

KenchiSulla -> RE: Web based WITPAE PBEM Viewer (7/9/2015 5:23:41 AM)

Can I switch to just one side?

oaltinyay -> RE: Web based WITPAE PBEM Viewer (7/9/2015 10:45:39 AM)

a-mazing... simply.

janh -> RE: Web based WITPAE PBEM Viewer (7/19/2015 8:05:25 AM)

Amazing work, indeed. Apparently it isn't that there are no more talented programmers with heart blood for WiTP AE...

Strangely I have seen this topic pop up a couple of days ago and never peeked inside. I was somehow expecting something very different behind that topic. I am sure I am not the only one with this thought, nor the first: I was expecting someone suggesting the forum needed a web-based viewer for the AARs so as to watch the replays to your favorite matches. I think that would be a great addition to the AARs in general. There are some highly exciting matches and nicely done AARs to follow, and getting to watch turn replays of the hot phases could be cherries on the cake. Just a thought...

BlackhorseToo -> RE: Web based WITPAE PBEM Viewer (7/22/2015 10:25:14 AM)

Baloogan,

Great work!

What game/version are you pulling from, for the data you are displaying? I ask, because the 64th Field AA Battalion display shows it equipped with 75mm AA guns. That is a legacy from the original WitP. In WitP-AE, all the US AAA Bns have 3in M3 or 3in M1918 guns when the war starts.

Scenario 1 and the most updated copy too; the TOEs are from extracting the unit info from the scenario file itsself. I can't show current OOB/TOE though, only what it references in the DB.

Numdydar -> RE: Web based WITPAE PBEM Viewer (7/22/2015 1:06:29 PM)

My understanding is that only when a new game is started the 'newer' data files are used for TOE. So if an upgrade patch is done for a game in progress, the EXE changes are incorporated into the game but nothing else. I'd be glad to be told I am wrong about this [:)]

Hmmm . . . a mystery! I also have the latest version and in the editor, there is no "USA 3bn TOE" that I can find. In the editor's 'location' field, #2362 is the USA 3bn Cst AA Rgt. In the third weapon slot, weapon 1133 is the 3in M3 AA Gun. And to Numdydar's point, when I start the game (stock scenario 1, non-historical first turn) the 64th Field AA Battalion is equipped with the 3in M3s, and from the editor it is tied to TOE #2362.

I vaguely recall that when AE was first rolled out, that we kept the old TOEs from WitP in the DB, but I don't see them now.

Regardless of the mystery, this is fine work that you've done.
