Here is a 3d shot of advancing Israeli's in Into the Ring. You can see The Nagmash, M150 and M125 variants of the M113, some mortar halftracks, and Magach 6 armor!

budd -> RE: The Cool Screenshot Thread (8/3/2015 11:18:24 PM)

How about a youtube AAR[:)] like to see some of that helo action. I forgot, did the sound effects get redone and what's the lowest zoom for the nato icons? You guys said August for release ...right.[;)]

Warhorse -> RE: The Cool Screenshot Thread (8/3/2015 11:37:16 PM)

Hey Budd, by lowest, do you mean the biggest, or smallest?!

Hexagon -> RE: The Cool Screenshot Thread (8/4/2015 8:38:29 AM)

Nice pic, thanks.

Ummm is "hard" add an option in game to "resize" the 3D icons??? i refer increase their size 25-50%??? even if affect vehicle info panel increase their side help made them easier to see in map.

Iran Irak war was a infantry slug festival but first stages and last stage offer interesting options to use mech forces... and well counterattacks VS infantry units in middle war are interesting to.

Well, one day less to september... sure you are going to release it last day in september [:D]

Jason Petho -> RE: The Cool Screenshot Thread (8/4/2015 12:35:27 PM)

Easiest way to make the 3D icons bigger is to lower the screen resolution. Of course, that has a lot of negative effects.

Firebri -> RE: The Cool Screenshot Thread (8/4/2015 4:35:07 PM)

Are there any pictures of smoke on the ground, i.e. mortar rounds ?

the most zoomed in view with the nato counters, lowest down. What about the sound effects, they get any changes and its about time for a youtube AAR isn't it[:D] want to see some helo action, 3 elevation levels huh.....sounds cool.

Jason Petho -> RE: The Cool Screenshot Thread (8/5/2015 12:41:12 AM)

Video AAR's will certainly be coming, but after I get a final version from Matrix/Slitherine.

That is a month away or so, please be patient.

I'm thinking I'll play through the Bootcamp's and include some tutorials on creating a map, an org and a scenario - to show how easy it can be.

What other video's would you like to see?

Jason Petho

budd -> RE: The Cool Screenshot Thread (8/5/2015 1:29:35 AM)

thx for the reply, I'll take any video's with some helo on tank action[:)] and anything on any new features.

Firebri -> RE: The Cool Screenshot Thread (8/5/2015 4:23:58 PM)

Thanks for the info Jason. I will sit and wait for a month, and not bother you too much [&o]

As I know you give us info when you can.

Remember the original largest view of Nato/graphical depiction? Now there are TWO more zooms past that, my personal favorites!! Many, many more NATO/military symbols, around 463! Also, the old graphical depicction was a joke, as you can see from the screenshots they are vastly improved, most units now have a dedicated graphic as well! 2D is definitely going to be very playable now.

A game of a scenario from the '73 Golan Heights battle would be nice. [&o]

Crossroads -> RE: The Cool Screenshot Thread (8/11/2015 7:12:07 AM)

The 11th Hour 2D Terrain Graphics project has entered its final week. Soon, pens on the table!

We will, of course, continue to enhance everything regarding the game after the initial launch.

New suburbs, villages, roads, railroads, ... So much to do, with the 2x enlargened 50% view 2D graphics (what now is the 2D Zoom-out View) as a starting point. And there's a ton of them.

Not that I am complaining, not at all [:)]

Here's a snippet of today's set of terrain graphics, from Valley of Tears.

It's all gone a bit quiet !

+1

Since my brief posts, new Forest and Orchard graphics added. Still some finalizing to do for the hand-out at the end of the month!

Warhorse -> RE: The Cool Screenshot Thread (8/17/2015 9:13:58 PM)

Furiously attacking the endless 3d graphics![:D]

berto -> RE: The Cool Screenshot Thread (8/19/2015 8:03:03 PM)

A recurring favorite, the Jerusalem 1967 scenario, showcasing the latest evolution of the 2D graphics (in this case, 2D Normal View, 5 key mode; jpg compressed by 10%, so the actual uncompressed image looks even better than this):

[image]http://pikt.org/matrix/cs/graphics/CoolScreenshot19.jpg[/image]

(Still subject to change. Further last minute adjustments even now are still underway.)

We all are working furiously to whip this game into shape. A special tip of the hat and hearty thanks to Crossroads for his intensive effort over the past month on the 11th Hour 2D Terrain Graphics Project, the fruits of which you see above. All of his hard work has been well worth it.

(Not to forget Warhorse, for the countless hours he too is devoting to the 2D unit graphics, and lately the 3D unit graphics. More screenshots, Mike?)

The new counters, the new markers, the new map -- the 2D is a real joy to look at now!

berto -> RE: The Cool Screenshot Thread (8/19/2015 9:32:39 PM)

More showcasing of Crossroads' 11th Hour 2D Terrain Graphics Project, and Warhorse's earlier 2D Graphical Unit Icons also!

Firebri -> RE: The Cool Screenshot Thread (8/20/2015 9:19:18 PM)

Looking good guys.

Noypi53 -> RE: The Cool Screenshot Thread (8/22/2015 8:05:44 AM)

Great graphics so far!! How's the work progressing for the Sept release?

Jason Petho -> RE: The Cool Screenshot Thread (8/22/2015 8:19:12 AM)

Lots of work, but we're still on target for the 24th.

So far, so good!

Jason Petho

budd -> RE: The Cool Screenshot Thread (8/22/2015 3:36:46 PM)

Hexagon -> RE: The Cool Screenshot Thread (8/26/2015 5:25:50 PM)

God pics, thanks for them.

I lol with this

"We're working furiously! Publicity can wait!"

I imagine something like this [:D]

B-COUNTERS COUNTERS COUNTERS!!!!
A-Berto... were is the manual??? and the AARs...
B- ...... manual... AARs...??? no counters???
A-yes, manual and AARs we need them ....
B-[image]http://www.netanimations.net/joeHEADNUTS-xx.gif[/image]

berto -> RE: The Cool Screenshot Thread (8/26/2015 5:36:21 PM)

[:D]

Actually, Jason did the Manual (and will do the AARs), and Crossroads & Warhorse are handling the counters. For me, the coder, it's more like:

B (others) - Bugs, bugs, bugs!
A (Berto) - Where's the bug spray?! We need more bug spray!!

[:'(]

Crossroads -> RE: The Cool Screenshot Thread (8/26/2015 5:42:12 PM)

Yeah, that's me (2D graphics at the moment):

Who spilled coffee on my maps! There's a stain now! In two places! Again! ARRGH!!!
