What does 100% funded mean precisely...I seem to recall spending 100 or so bucks for the game at the time. Also saying it was primarily volunteers that made the game dosnt make sense, if that was the case. why wasn't it free then? quote:

ORIGINAL: dobrodukh Yes, I understand. But in some games the screen resolution is placed in the game options. It really is much easier than to search for answers on the forum. Developers must try this [:)] Something you might not be aware of: the entire development team for AE was volunteer, as has been all of the ongoing support. The development team was large and varied, and the game would never have been available to us at anything close to the price it has been if the effort was 100% funded. What you suggest is entirely reasonable. But when it comes to something that already exists in a slightly different form (in this case putting switches in the shortcut), it's unlikely that a volunteer will spend the great amount of time needed to do that, test it, and so on. They (MichaelM lately) actually spend a great deal of personal time on fixing minor bugs and making various improvements in the game and its user interface, many at uses' requests. So for the developers its a matter of donating personal time, and for us users/customers its a matter of realizing that and prioritizing the requests that we make. And of course helping each other out with support/questions etc..
