Panta_slith -> Installation problem (10/23/2015 6:29:16 PM)

I just purchased, downloaded and tried (unsuccessfully) to install the Northern Inferno. First, when running the installer I get a screen that asks me to introduce the serials for both COMMAND MODERN/NAVAL OPERATIONS and COMMAND NORTHERN INFERNO.
Since it is a stand alone game and I don't have the former, I just enter the second and click. Then everything seems to go smoothly, but the following screens refer just to COMMAND GAME OF THE YEAR EDITION 1.09. But it continues apparently normally until a pop up asks me to place disk #2, which I, of course, don't have. And there it ends my installation.
Perhaps I rushed to buy the game, there are no entries in the corresponding forum whatsoever, but anyway I got the feeling that the installer isn't the right one.
Please advise

And I forgot to tell you that the link you sent me by email:
https://www.bluesnap.com/jsp/dlapp.jsp?ref=90075418C3283124C53068470
doesn't work. I downloaded the game directly from the purchase page.

Hi

Please make sure all files are in the same directory. If one is still zipped or elsewhere the installer won't find it.

Best to unzip to desktop and then run.

Let us know if this solves the issue.

Thanks!

Mike

Thanks Mike. I have unzipped the game into my desktop and proceeded from there. But the installer clearly states that it is for COMMAND WARGAME OF THE YEAR EDITION 1.09 and NOT for NORTHERN INFERNO.

Well, I just gave it a last try, despite the confusing installation instructions and assumed that the files supposedly stored in "disk #2" where in the same directory as the setup application and the game got installed (they are described by Win7 as "2 files" only).
If you allow me to make a suggestion, I have been a Matrix customer since 2002 and never experienced installation issues so far. Perhaps you should take into account that the misleading instructions, the failing downloading link provided and other minor details might disappoint new customers.
Thanks for your help and good luck, I am certain that I will enjoy the game.
P.

Yeah sorry. Sometimes programmers forget the people part the equation. It's not intentional. Will do better next update

Mike
