  • Revised 3D graphics from Crossroads

  • I'd be interested to hear what you think of them. Each and every 3D terrain tile was touched with its colors reset to fit a bit better in the background, to allow the units (which were not touched) to be visible in the foreground a bit better:

    The Dev Team is hard at work at this. We hope to post the next Campaign Series Middle East - 1.02 UPDATE - OPEN BETA by the end of March.

    demyansk -> RE: Campaign Series Middle East - 1.02 UPDATE - OPEN BETA (4/24/2016 12:43:39 PM)

    Is the new update available? I am not on my machine right now

    Crossroads -> RE: Campaign Series Middle East - 1.02 UPDATE - OPEN BETA (4/24/2016 1:04:00 PM)

    Not quite yet, still working on it. Hopefully soon.

    carll11 -> RE: Campaign Series Middle East - 1.02 UPDATE - OPEN BETA (4/24/2016 3:11:46 PM)

    just wondering, do you want me to post more OOB issues I have found? Or are the ones I've posted sufficient? As in you're already reviewing all OOB's leader issues etc.?

    Jason Petho -> RE: Campaign Series Middle East - 1.02 UPDATE - OPEN BETA (4/24/2016 7:10:01 PM)

    Add them as you find them, that would be great!

    Jason Petho -> RE: Campaign Series Middle East - 1.02 UPDATE - OPEN BETA (4/29/2016 3:44:25 AM)

    Playtesting a tournament scenario that will be included in the 1.02 UPDATE against Greg. Generally, turn 16 of 25, he's destroying my Egyptians without mercy. There is the occasional small victory though, as shown below. This is a raid on an airfield far beyond the frontlines conducted by a company of engineers that were flown in on Mi-8's.

    Is it useful? Not really, but keeps my morale up through the slaughter in the other sectors!

    The scenario is appropriately called "Hack and Slash".

    Playtesting a tournament scenario that will be included in the 1.02 UPDATE against Greg. Here is Turn 17, possible 18, the overall situation, zoomed out to Zoom Level 7.

    Normally I wouldn't do what I did playing the Egyptians... and now I am paying dearly for it.

    The scenario is appropriately called "Hack and Slash".

    The counters are displaying 4 values, great.

    But can the 4 values of the counter [2,9,0,1] arrange on the same way as the 6 values on the unit info box.

    or

    Can the 6 values of the unit info box arrange on the same way as the counter.

    This make reading and learning more easy.

    Nice this new map is in my neighborhood

    Jason Petho -> RE: Campaign Series Middle East - 1.02 UPDATE - OPEN BETA (5/6/2016 9:46:21 PM)

    That nap is a modified portion of the large suez base map that is included with the game. The 1973 version.

    It has been modified for this fictional tournament designed scenario.

    carll11 -> RE: Campaign Series Middle East - 1.02 UPDATE - OPEN BETA (5/7/2016 12:28:19 AM)

    just adding to the wish list re: issues.

    - as I have mentioned a few weeks ago, the HQ (Bn. and up) counters do not highlight if they are mounted in any transport; jeep, apc etc. when you select a sub-unit.

    Also, during play I have noticed some Org. issues regards highlighting leaders and the HQ unit, for example;

    Kesler Col. 532nd tk bn 460th bdge. 252nd rev. Ugda

    Chaim Barak Col. 35th Para

    these folks (and HQ's) do not highlight their sub-units at all, for example, when you select Col. Barak, NONE of the sub-units in that entire unit highlight, its as if he commands , well, no one. but when you F2, it clearly shows him delineates him as commander of 35th Para.

    Same for Kesler and his sub-unit...

    That goes both ways, when you select a sub-unit, they don't highlight Barak or Kesler.

    Jason Petho -> RE: Campaign Series Middle East - 1.02 UPDATE - OPEN BETA (5/7/2016 12:42:49 AM)

    Which scenario?

    Which scenario?

    Jason Petho

    one of the golan Org. (duel for golan) ones, I used to create my own scn. The units are contained in 'Northern Command'.

    I did not modify the units in any way, just placed them and played.

    Jason Petho -> RE: Campaign Series Middle East - 1.02 UPDATE - OPEN BETA (5/7/2016 7:47:14 PM)

    Ah, those are user created scenarios.

    No error found that I can see.

    Not the usual game look, that would be with the included Black 2D Unit Profiles mod applied (and with Standard counters selected). The "usual" game look will still be available of course.

    +1

    A good suggestion for the wishlist. [;)]

    berto -> RE: Campaign Series Middle East - 1.02 UPDATE - OPEN BETA (5/8/2016 2:21:45 PM)

    The counter arrangement will likely remain as is. But yes, in future we will consider redesigning the Unit Infobox, including rearranging the unit stats.

    One last screenshot:

    The last one, I promise!

    But they're all so pretty, each one prettier than the next. [8D]

    This Black 2D Unit Profiles mod (with Standard counters) is really starting to appeal to me.

    Thx, the Kesler thing is weird....

    Anyway; I thought you had answered on the Barak issue, that he was lower in the command structure and thats why? I noticed that to, BUT had already started the game so I could not take advantage of that fix..

    did that post get deleted?

    Jason Petho -> RE: Campaign Series Middle East - 1.02 UPDATE - OPEN BETA (5/10/2016 3:06:33 PM)

    It turned out not to be an issue, as shown in the screenshot

    76mm -> RE: Campaign Series Middle East - 1.02 UPDATE - OPEN BETA (5/14/2016 6:51:34 AM)

    This all looks good. When will the non-beta version be released?

    Jason Petho -> RE: Campaign Series Middle East - 1.02 UPDATE - OPEN BETA (5/14/2016 7:10:56 AM)

    June.

    BETA version will be released on Sunday.
