RoccoNZ -> [FIXED v1.11] Multi Mission Tomahawk (1/8/2016 7:05:45 AM)

Not sure if this is working as designed or not.

Launched 8 multi mission tomahawks at a old cruiser. First 3 weapons hit the target and destroyed it. The next 5 carried on well past the engagement area.

Presumably IRL after the sensor didn't detect anything in the target area it would self destruct/ crash rather than following the same bearing until the fuel runs out?

The Tomahawk has a datalink so you can re-target it [8D]

The AI should attempt to do this automatically btw.

OK,my friend,he is an lecturer of radio, communication and navigation. According to his research, the Tomahawk iv was capable of limited anti-ship missions since 2007 with it's two-way datalink and possible IR seeker onboard. So, what's you guys opinion on this?

Still an issue in 1.10 -

Brass Drum, strike DDG with MMT. DDG destroyer from first 4 hits. last two MMTs carry on to the Exclusion Zone and the mission ends with a airspace violation.

Unable to re-target.

Should the MMT have some logic so that it ditches if it isn't retarget or doesn't re-acquire a target within XYZ seconds?

Viper81 -> RE: Multi Mission Tomahawk (3/1/2016 5:43:08 AM)

I've never been able to successfully retarget with the TACTOM or MMT. Is it simply a matter of selecting the missile, then F1, then a target? Must this be done before a certain distance of its original target?

Have already made a number of improvements for 1.11. Can you post savegames please and I'll confirm.
