But..... ski troops can't assault!!

My favorite scouts? Snipers, Scout teams for foot units (any nation).

Soviet Union: T-34/76
Western Allies: Honey +Stuart, M8 Greyhound, AEC
Germany: don'tplay often, but rather the wheeled vehicles

Cavalry, for similar reasons as motorcycles, except for being a bit slower, they're better in rough/wooded terrain, they're amphibious, don't breakdown and they can assault.
With molotovs if you're Russian.:cool:
Not a very effective AT weapon it sure scares the cr*p out of the target and anything in the same hex:D

Have to agree with a few others about the GE 4-man recon team. They can assault a tank with decent odds and if they fail and take a few casulties well then you stilll might have 1-2 left for continuing recon. I really miss these guys when I play other nations. Another of my Kraut favorites is the 250/1 HT. It's a recon with good speed , can carry a 4-man team or a 75m pak40 AT gun. Very nice, very cheap.

Also, have to give a shout to the Schwimmwagen. They have the lifespan of a gnat but only cost 3pts and can carry a 4-man team. As long as you keep em alive you can get escort your legged recon teams across the map quickly at low cost. And hey if it blows up a mine who cares, it's only 3pts lol.
