it's a combination of screen size versus ratio / resolution used and displayed, it's a problem with none default screen sizes, but simple to get around if we know the screen size in use, the res used and the dpi settings also. How to get a DxDiag report file: 1. Click on "START" (on Windows 8 press “Windows key” and the “R” key at the same time) 2. Click "run" (skip this step on Windows 8 ) 3. Type in "dxdiag" and click "OK" 4. Check through the tabs and perform all tests 5. Click "Save all Information..." and save the text file to a location of your choice We prefer that DxDiag files be posted as message attachments (zip) rather than pasted into the body of the post. quote:
Also, do I need to change the resolution every time I run the game? That seems like a pain. no you alter the ini file as per tech forum posts http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4031094 http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4031485 quote:
Well, you laptop says 1920 x 1080 but it is not actually 1920 x 1080. You might be off by few pixels, or like you said you could be using Custom Scaling. Here is what you can do, modify the configuration.ini file in the Windows Notepad and change the following: Windowed=Yes Sizex=1920 Sizey=1080 Save the file, and run the game. The game will run in windowed mode at 1920 x 1080 assuming your LCD can support it. If not please select resolution that the game supports: 1024 x 768, 1280 x 800, 1360 x 768, 1366 x 768, 1536 x 864, 1280 x 960, 1440 x 900, 1280 x 1024, 1680 x 1050, 1600 x 900, 1600 x 1200, 1920 x 1080, 1920 x 1200, 2560 x 1440.
