ORIGINAL: Ranger33 I've really wanted to get into this series but just seem to bounce off it each time I try. The battlefields are so large that it can be difficult to figure out what is going on. Which is of course more realistic than most games [:D] The series covers a lot of unusual theaters which is awesome, if I could figure it out. That is definitely one of the big hurdles, navigating the huge battlefields. I was lost at first. Then once you start to get your bearings and how to use the UI to quickly get to your units it becomes easier. There are so many things in the game that you'd never even consider such as clear weather giving way to a storm coming in with the trees bending in the harsh wind and the sun being blotted out. In one particular night battle I remember the tense feeling as the lights from the enemy's AFV's broke the darkness moving into my defensive perimeter before all hell broke loose. It has great dynamic lighting. There are mods out that help with some subdued sound effects. It really is a truly unique game and probably the most underrated one out there.
