I know his claim is possible but believing it requires more, as I think you imply.

Further to my previous post about Oak Hammock Marsh - here is a screen shot from the live cam showing a small flock of geese on the ice - the leading edge of the migration. Most of the non-flying critters only show themselves at dawn or dusk so I didn't see any (except two people with a dog on a leash).
