Re: the aircraft type, try this Google search - lots of aircraft with yellow wings. Library of Congress had info on pic. Even if laying on the floor, the top wing of a biplane is still the top wing of a biplane, maybe. her title was: "A&R McElroy I.L." "A & R " is for "Assembly & Repair"
