The Bayeux tapestry is one of the supreme achievements of the Norman Romanesque. Its survival almost intact over nine centuries is little short of miraculous. Its exceptional length, the harmony and freshness of its colours, its exquisite workmanship, and the genius of its guiding spirit combine to make it endlessly fascinating. This 230ft long piece of embroidered cloth, which hangs in the Musee de la Tapisserie de Bayeux, depicts the events leading up to , and including, the Norman Conquest and is, quite simply, priceless. I was deeply saddened - as were normal, civilised people everywhere, when reading that some years ago some remtard stole a piece of this great work..... I wonder who it was?....[:@] Extract from the Bayeux Tapestry: Section 12(b) Ou est le bosoms? [image]local://upfiles/28156/3A854B405A5C49A68076B7B4C138CCEF.jpg[/image]
