AllenK -> RE: Warspite1 Keep Out! (1/27/2017 6:55:26 PM)

No point with Stuka this impulse as couldn't attack anyway. Nothing for Japan.

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: Warspite1 Keep Out! (1/27/2017 6:57:45 PM)

Yeah, Italy would get 2:1 +1 attack after SB if Stuka hits because of CW bombers are in range.

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: Warspite1 Keep Out! (1/27/2017 7:06:33 PM)

Any rail moves for Japan?

AllenK -> RE: Warspite1 Keep Out! (1/27/2017 7:07:50 PM)

How many have I got?

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: Warspite1 Keep Out! (1/27/2017 7:11:00 PM)

2 rail moves.

I do German land moves and then send save file to you.

Now I got it: Italy can't attack because they chose naval.

AllenK -> RE: Warspite1 Keep Out! (1/27/2017 7:14:14 PM)

Send the 28th Garr to Tsingtao and the 70mm ART to Canton, thanks.

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: Warspite1 Keep Out! (1/27/2017 7:40:54 PM)

German rebase missions:
FW190 from Dusseldorf to woods in SEE of Bordeaux [61,26]
Stuka from southern Spain to north, woods 2 hexes south of Bilbao [64,23]
Bf110C from southern Spain to north [64,22]
Bf109 in central France near Paris to 9 hexes east

von Leeb reorganizes 2x ART in northern Spain.

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: Warspite1 Keep Out! (1/28/2017 4:33:15 AM)

I'm thinking about to align Finland next impulse. Looks like I need those units for garrison in 1942.

The question is, can I place them to north to attack Murmansk? Normally I want to make USSR place their reserves before I decide what to do with Finnish troops. Placing them nortj sounds risky, USSR can place 3 units to Murmansk and fight there to the end if the war.

If I place units south, I think I have to place unit or two to north to protect my resource.

AllenK -> RE: Warspite1 Keep Out! (1/28/2017 10:14:14 AM)

Other option is to place one about half-way down and advance to cut the rail line. Soviets would need to commit an HQ to shift it.

That's the way to handle this, if the USSR haven't got CAV in the area to react. I would use a Ski division to cut the railline to Murmansk.

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: Warspite1 Keep Out! (1/30/2017 6:13:08 PM)

Germany takes land action

Germany aligns Finland
6-3 INF and 2x CP to Petsamo
All other ships and both planes to Helsinki
5-4 INF west of Helsinki
2nd ski div to near Murmansk rail road
INF HQ, MOT and 1st ski div near Viipuri

Naval air
I suggest Italian Gabbiano goes to CSV box 4 and initiates combat. Italian Erone and German fighter (air to air factor 6) from Gibraltar can go to box 1. If Gabbiano alone finds, it can attack box 4 where is no planes.

No ground strikes this impulse.

Germany rails ARM HQ Guderian from northern Spain to Poland [49,46], ARM HQ Rommel from southern Spain and INF from Paris to Hungary [59,50].

I hope we get one more impulse...

Can Italy place forts only to Italian controlled hexes or also to German controlled hexes (Gibraltar)?

Anyone knows this? There is a prize for the right answer...

You can only build forts in hexes you control. So Italian forts have to be build in Italian controlled hexes and German forts have to be build in German controlled hexes....

Thank you. Prize can be claimed in Munich in September [&o]

Damm. I looked under the forts rule and couldn't see anything and am pretty sure in one of my solitaire games had to ship a fort down to Singapore, so I thought they could be moved and then set up. Oh well, it was only 2 BP's. I dare say I can find a useful place for it and maybe a couple more.

Out of the scenario booklet:

AfA & MiF option 5: You can only set up forts in hexes you control...

Does that apply only to the forts available at set-up or subsequently built forts?

Centuur -> RE: Warspite1 Keep Out! (2/2/2017 8:02:08 PM)

Both. Here's RAW, which confirms this:

Fortifications (...) can arrive in any hex controlled by their
major power that isn’t in an enemy ZOC and won’t violate stacking.

AllenK -> RE: Warspite1 Keep Out! (2/2/2017 8:20:47 PM)

Thanks Peter.

Oh well, back to what I said earlier. "I dare say I can find somewhere useful for it and possibly a couple more."

AllenK -> RE: Warspite1 Keep Out! (2/4/2017 4:36:57 PM)

China is a right mess. I want to get the Japanese units back to the coast and out but the weather and supply is hindering all movement, while the Chinese are exploiting the gaps. Any suggestions?

Centuur -> RE: Warspite1 Keep Out! (2/4/2017 4:42:16 PM)

There is no solution for this. The only thing which might help is to get another HQ into China to help with the supply situation there. That is probably too much for the Japanese to be able to pull off.
The Chinese are also hampered by this weather, so they won't advance that fast too...

AllenK -> RE: Warspite1 Keep Out! (2/4/2017 5:47:39 PM)

Only HQ I could bring is the one I just sent to Truk to give reorganisation options for the IJN. I think it'll be needed there in the not too distant future. Good point about the weather though.

AllenK -> RE: Warspite1 Keep Out! (2/4/2017 8:53:10 PM)

I think Japan needs to go land due to China and Italy may as well go combined. How about Germany?

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: Warspite1 Keep Out! (2/5/2017 5:24:01 AM)

Germany takes land as they need to rail more units to east.

I hope we get naval air combat in BoB.

I will be online earliest on Sunday evening, but more likely on Monday. You can do naval combat. Send German planes to BoB.

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: Warspite1 Keep Out! (2/5/2017 2:30:58 PM)

Does Italy have 4 range fighter in Bordeaux? Can it fly to BoB?
