ORIGINAL: burroughs The scenario gameplay save file attached. Now, two things which stand out very distinctly: 1. Why do I get flooded with a pop-up window for a scenario event every five seconds at least - "Rescue units, this is Red Crown. Bandits Detected". The message keeps popping up in a constant flood at five second pace continuously, wrecking the gameplay for good, even when all of the pop-up messages options are ticked off in the game settings menu. Actually this kept popping up even when I turned everything off, both the message log and pop-up messages in the game interface menu. Agree it irritating. Worst yet you can't turn special message popups on/off. I've put in a note to take a look at this. In the meantime the work around is to just go into the editor and deactivate the Piraz event causing it. quote:
2. The fastmovers on the AAW Patrol North do not intercept the incoming bandit contact at all, until the whole flight gets downed without even returning fire. The contact has been assigned as a hostile from the very beginning by the Red Crown station, it was emitting actively and the friendlies had them radar painted, in range and moving through their designated patrol zone. On the second run, one of them got downed and the other managed to shoot down the attacked with a leisure cannon salvo, without even a sign of an interception attempt, patrolling casually all the time. On the other hand Skyraiders started active engagement right after taking off even though there was only a single unknown contact within their ASuW Ground patrol zone and I had to alter manually their speed from full to cruise so they wouldn't speed all the way to their assigned patrol zone, burning their fuel out at an insane pace when there was not even a single sign of danger in sight, even the survivors weren't found yet. This is my second attempt at the scenario, I believe this is its latest version I could have found, the game version and the database versions are the latest available, too. Fighters intercept when I tested however you've got lots of flights attached and it looks like who gets assigned the intercept could be the problem. I'd keep it simple and just assign a flight. Next, the Crusaders are carrying an AIM-9B which is a rear aspect missile. So the behavior on a closing engagement is a gun pass then they'll try and engage from the rear. Thanks for reporting these issues though. We'll definitely take a look. Mike
