AllenK -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (4/23/2016 11:03:18 PM)

Ah, I understand. I'll get my coat so I can bid my leave to join this merry band of brothers.

warspite1 -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (4/24/2016 1:14:39 PM)

Hi Gents

Just checking the plan for today. Is there likely to be any action? Just need to plan my movements.

Thanks

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (4/24/2016 1:25:23 PM)

Late this evening Germany will make their move. I'm planning to attack 2 hexes.

warspite1 -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (4/24/2016 1:26:22 PM)

Okay thanks.

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (4/24/2016 1:50:54 PM)

When you plan your next impulse moves, you can concider Metz and hex SW of Brussels lost. And in my plans German troops stay organized [;)]

You may be right about Metz, but in the countryside southwest of Brussels I don't think you realise just what awaits you. Specifically you appear to underestimate the potential hitting power of the 32eme Bovine Anti-Tank Brigade. Marcel the Bull and his hand-picked heffers are fully entrenched in their camoflagued positions and awaiting the hapless panzer formations.... "Isn't that right Marcel"? "Moo!"

The exciting new add-on from ADG - Livestock in Flames

Marcel and his heffers - not a herd to be trifled with.....

Isn't Livestock in Flames what is generally known as a Bar-B-Que?

Yes, a Bar-b-que will see various forms of livestock (prinicpally cows and chickens) in action due to an assortment of their body parts being cooked over an open flame. However Livestock in Flames is a little different from that of your average open-air cooking experience.

Livestock in Flames sees the animals fightback. Look at the cunning disguise on these "Special Forces" chickens. The panzer crews in the background have no idea they are there. The leader of this group, Major Foch "The Proud Gallic Cock" and his trusty Corporal are biding their time to strike at the Boche.....

French special forces laying a trap - they have the 12th Panzer Division Eggsactly where they want them.

Not a tank expert but these two tanks look like old Soviet products! (T55 or T62?)

You are probably right - one thing for certain is that they are not Panzer II, III or IV's. However I could not find a picture of camoflagued chickens standing in front of German tanks from WWII. There is one of two reasons for this a) its all nonsense (although I can't believe that for a moment) or b) the chickens were so well camoflagued they simply don't show up in surviving WWII pictures.

Ou est le poulet? - or a kind of WWII based Where's Wally?

As it was I had to remove the four helicopters in the picture of Marcel the Bull......

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (4/24/2016 6:52:02 PM)

Germany takes Rotterdam and forces ships to rebase. Where do they want to go?

Edit: Do you want to rebase them as a stack or one by one? Submarine can rebase safely alone.

Orm -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (4/24/2016 7:39:16 PM)

As a group to Belfast although it might be that the submarine must go by itself.

Courtenay -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (4/24/2016 8:09:25 PM)

All the talk about the, err, unusual Allied anti-tank defenses brings to mind the game "Unexploded Cow", which uses two problems to solve each other: mad cows in England and unexploded ordinance in France.

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (4/24/2016 8:14:15 PM)

Germany intercepts and rolls 1. Rebasing ships are forced to stay in box 0.

Does CW want to fly more planes to North Sea?

Orm -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (4/24/2016 8:17:16 PM)

No, thank you.

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (4/24/2016 8:21:57 PM)

Allied roll 3. CW fleet in box 3 finds and comes to rescue rebasing ships. German NAV takes transporters as their primary target...

[image]local://upfiles/39586/2A702688695F4F4BA1004F5BCEACD74F.jpg[/image]

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (4/24/2016 8:28:04 PM)

AA Fire: 2 10 9 1 5

Germany uses 2 points to increase damage to D A.

Germany had 1% chance for this (search rolls 1 and 3). With any other result either transporters would not have been committed to combat or Germany would not have 2 points to increase damage.

Transporter is only aborted.

Who takes A? Where do aborted CW ships go? Axis stay, how about Allies?

[image]local://upfiles/39586/0115024CEC3A45818448400917D9412A.jpg[/image]

Orm -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (4/24/2016 8:31:04 PM)

The CP takes the abort.

UK ships go to Portsmouth. Netherlands ships to Belfast.

Allies stay.

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (4/24/2016 8:32:36 PM)

No additional planes I guess. I did not even ask before if French LND want to fly box 1. I believe it has other mission coming...

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (4/24/2016 8:34:02 PM)

Axis 4, Allied 6. Combat is over.

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (4/24/2016 8:44:01 PM)

Germany attack hex SW of Brussels and Metz. Japan attacks CAV near Hangchow.

Germany sends 4 point bombers to both combats. 5 point fighters are in intercept range to both combats.

Is the long waiting over and French planes joins combat?

Odds before ground support:
Metz: 17,333:4 = 4,333
SW of Brussels: 33:9 = 3,666 blitz (Germany has 2x ARM and MECH)

warspite1 -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (4/24/2016 8:57:18 PM)

Are these 4:1 and 3:1 including the 4-point bombers?

No. Odds are before ground support phase.

Orm -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (4/24/2016 8:59:30 PM)

I suggest that it is a good time to scramble the entire French air force.

Orm -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (4/24/2016 9:01:41 PM)

Remember that the attacker will have a positive die modifier on both attacks. Might be +2 in the blitz attack.

warspite1 -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (4/24/2016 9:02:15 PM)

I'll try to use the AA unit in SW Brussels - do I do this before aircraft are announced?

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (4/24/2016 9:02:49 PM)

No, it is after air to air combat.

Orm -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (4/24/2016 9:03:10 PM)

Late again. [:D]
