Italy uses 2 points to decrease CW air to air value.

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (7/16/2016 10:17:18 PM)

CW chooses a bomber to get through.

Axis stay for more, how about Allies?

Orm -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (7/16/2016 10:18:45 PM)

The 3 strength bomber clears. CW stay.

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (7/16/2016 10:21:43 PM)

Both planes are aborted.

warspite1 -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (7/16/2016 10:22:53 PM)

Done it again and entered the Axis thread. This is ridiculous.[&:]

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (7/16/2016 10:25:18 PM)

CW receives AA fire, lowest of 5: 3 1 7 4 9

warspite1 -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (7/16/2016 10:27:29 PM)

Corsairs, Hellcats, Avengers, Seafires.... these are just four of the aircraft types that the Fleet Air Arm don't have.

And so instead, the brave men of the naval arm take to the skies in the venerable Stringbag - and hope against hope that their slow, ancient machines will survive the hail of flak they are about to fly into.....

Rear-gunner:I must say I feel a tad exposed in this position.....

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (7/16/2016 10:30:48 PM)

Italy uses remaining 2 points to decrease own damage down to A.

Both CW ships are aborted.

CW bomber causes A on Italian ships. CW can also choose a target.

Abort on the Italian TRS.

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (7/16/2016 10:37:07 PM)

TRS is aborted.

Axis stay, how about Allies? And what does sub do?

All Allied SCS are aborted, right?

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (7/16/2016 10:39:21 PM)

Yes, they are gone. Most likely to Gibraltar?

Orm -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (7/16/2016 10:40:32 PM)

Indeed.

Then the Allies stay for another round. No submarine included.

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (7/16/2016 10:43:52 PM)

3rd round: Axis 6, Allied 10. Combat is over.

I have to get to bed now. It's past midnight here and I have workday tomorrow.

Good night! Tomorrow Axis will sink/abort all ships in Bay of Biscay [8D]

Axis Gents

I recall there was an issue with the peacekeepers rule. I think it was that if the peacekeepers were stacked alone then they could not be attacked. I don't know if that bug is still in force but if so presumably we can agree that any landing of peacekeepers must ensure that they are stacked with the 'home' unit?

What are you talking about? Is there a war where Axis should send peacekeepers? If there is, we are ready to defend all free and neutral nations!

And we will land units with "home" units or places you can't attack right away [8D]
warspite1

All joking aside, there is clearly a possibility that the peacekeepers rule will soon be put to the test.

As far as I am aware, the bug that existed for this rule remains in place. So:

1. I will test this this afternoon to see if that is the case.
2. If it is, we need some clear rules of engagement to ensure that we don't end up creating a situation not catered for in the rules.

I will post my results shortly. Perhaps we can discuss thereafter?

warspite1 -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (7/17/2016 12:55:07 PM)

Okay it looks like this may have been fixed. I am sure the problem was that if the Peacekeepers were stacked with themselves only, then the hex could not be attacked.

I just tried attacking a stack of German only units and the attack was allowed. So that is good news.

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (7/17/2016 1:16:50 PM)

Sounds good.

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (7/17/2016 7:18:41 PM)

Naval combat in West Med started well and ended like a disaster for Axis.

I made 3 major mistakes during 2nd round:

1) I did not ask AllenK if he wants air to air combat or naval combat
2) I chose air to air combat (naval combat would have given both sides losses, but both could have decided how to target them).
3) I got panic when I realized Allies can place A on TRS, I should have taken 2A and increase damage to D 2A and target that D on CV.

I will learn from my mistakes.

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (7/17/2016 7:23:29 PM)

Axis initiates naval combat in Bay of Biscay. No additional planes.

Allies can fly Harrow to box 2, does it fly?

warspite1 -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (7/17/2016 7:34:16 PM)

Okay I will just check the make-up of the sea zone and will get back to you.

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (7/17/2016 7:38:27 PM)

This is great, but this time for Allies. Axis 8, Allied 1.

Did I remember wrong, that 0 box can never find? Even if there is a NAV in 0 box.

How do you want to play this?

You remember wrong. The 0-box can find with the help of a CV, NAV or enemy convoy points.

There are no choices about the sea boxes. All the Allied against the Axis one box. And a naval air combat. CW will use their surprise points in the air combat but I want to get confirmation on how many surprise points there is.

Orm -> RE: 4 player E-mail: AAR (7/17/2016 7:49:54 PM)

Edit: Lately I have had trouble posting here. [:(]

9 surprise points. Next question is will CVP fly as fighter or bomber?

You would have made the same call after looking at the sea zone. Since I was back I just tried to save some time. [:)]
