AllenK -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (7/28/2016 10:34:56 PM)

I thought the '8' was a DA, hence the comment above. If it is NE, then Italians stay for another round.

The Z.501 will abort, yes. It can go to Cartagena, thanks.
warspite1

What about the fighter?

I suspect that there was a misunderstanding here.
warspite1

I suspect so. I have not aborted the bomber until AllenK confirms

Stay and fight another round, with both.

Right AX - the Indian fighter is shot down, as is either the Italian fighter or bomber. Its bye bye to the ugly Gabbiano...

The Italian pilot is swimming with the fishes. I am not sure about the Indian as I don't know what counts as a friendly sea zone.

The French decide to remain in the sea area - what does Zara and the Re.2000 want to do?

AllenK -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (7/28/2016 10:45:32 PM)

I guess it's too late to say the Italians changed their minds and wanted to go with the original abort [:D].

Not at all. So long as you are equally as understanding about the fact we didn't want to do a combined with the French in Impulse 2 Sep/Oct 1939 - so perhaps we should go back?

[:D]

Stay please.

Orm -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (7/28/2016 10:48:47 PM)

That was a brutal air combat round.

((My bad that I forgot to remind Warspite1 about the Italian pilot (and German) slash synth thingie we are trying to get to work. No biggie, we will get it to work anyway.))

warspite1 -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (7/28/2016 10:49:30 PM)

The Allies do not bring aircraft in. The Italians have a fighter and a SM81.

AllenK -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (7/28/2016 10:54:32 PM)

No thanks.

warspite1 -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (7/28/2016 11:00:50 PM)

The Allied roll a 2 and the Axis a 6.

The French fleet target the heavy cruiser Zara as she gets separated from her fighter escort in poor weather.

The Allies use their surprise points to increase Axis losses (2) and decrease their own (4).

Why am I not being asked to throw? The destroy button is highlighted.

AllenK -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (7/28/2016 11:02:41 PM)

Click on the Zara?

warspite1 -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (7/28/2016 11:05:34 PM)

This is what I see

warspite1 -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (7/28/2016 11:14:26 PM)

The hapless Zara has her guns facing toward the threat from the French cruisers, on her starboard quarter when suddenly out of the blue, 13-inch salvoes start straddling her. Within minutes the French gunners aboard Dunkerque find their target and half an hour later the cruiser is reduced to a burning hulk.

Zara never got the chance to even fire her main armament at her tormentors.

The French stay - what about the fighter?

AllenK -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (7/28/2016 11:17:22 PM)

It can stay.

warspite1 -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (7/28/2016 11:18:41 PM)

Okay I need to turn in. Ormster I will send the file back to you.

AllenK -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (7/28/2016 11:19:44 PM)

Good night John-boy.

warspite1 -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (7/28/2016 11:20:38 PM)

Unless Italy decide to add some air power with naval bombing to the West Med then it will be the end of the action there.

So will Italy attempt something?

If you have a port that touches the sea zone, its friendly. Note that MWiF tells you: the Axis suffered an AX PX while the Allies only suffered an AX.

No bombers but leave the fighter. Manually input the next search numbers so nobody finds so you can move on.

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (7/29/2016 7:15:05 AM)

Is it too late to replay West Med naval combat so that Italian pilot is saved?

Bay of Biscay: German 6 point fighter initiates combat. Another 6 point fighter intercepts to box 1 and sub stays on bottom.

6 point fighter that initiates combat is front fighter, followed by 5, 6(4 range) and 4 point fighters.

Italian NAV is front bomber.

Orm -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (7/29/2016 9:42:27 AM)

Not at all. Since it is only one sea area I will make an attempt to recreate it with a saved Italian pilot. [:)] I hope it succeeds since the Italian pilot was what worried me the most with the payment part of this operation. Would be nice to have that taken care of.

But it will be a few hours, at least, before I will find the time.

Mayhemizer_slith -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (7/29/2016 12:20:16 PM)

Sounds great. I was worried that too, new NAV is coming to play in 2 turns with no pilot.

Orm -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (7/29/2016 5:41:14 PM)

I am sorry but I do not think that there will be any Allied actions today. I have had a very long day and I feel exhausted and ready for bed. [:(]

When I get back to MWIF I will try and fix the 'pilot' issue. Then do the search and reinforcement of Bay of Biscay as directed above.

When the 'Bay of Biscay' searches are done, will Italy search in the East Med? If so, then Italy does not need to disorganize a ship since Italy already has intercepted in the sea area.

I hope you all have a nice evening. [:)] I know how I will spend it. [>:] [>:] [>:]
