Orm -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (8/29/2016 8:37:46 PM)

No declarations of war.

Land: China
Combined: USSR, USA
Naval: France, CW

No Port Strikes. No naval air.

USA continue to transfer the Pacific Fleet to Hawaii.

CW sends two transporters from UK to Gibraltar where they unload one fighter and one naval bomber.

The liner sails from Australia, loaded with a militia, to Cape Basin.

The Dutch TRS in Malta sail for the Arabian Sea.

CW also send out plenty of convoy escorts.

A battleship fleet sail for the Bay of Biscay and another to Cape St Vincent.

HMS Furious and a couple of cruisers sail to the North Atlantic.

France send out a patrol in the East Med.

The Western Allies send out submarines to the West Med and the Italian Coast.

CW send one convoy point to the West Med and a couple of cruisers.

CW initiate combat in the West Med. No additional air added.

Will Germany, or Italy, reinforce the West Med with any air units?

Italy has even more air units they can use for reinforcing the West Med.

Edit: Replied before seeing Italian options. Italian Navs to 2-box, thanks.

Just want to verify that the Italian naval bomber in Italy and the Italian bomber in Spain are send to the 2-box in the West Med.

AllenK -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (8/29/2016 8:58:21 PM)

Thanks Orm, just the Nav in Italy, not the one in Spain.

Orm -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (8/29/2016 9:07:27 PM)

The Italian forces finds the fumbling Allied ships. Which box(es) will be included?

Both boxes, thanks and Naval Air Combat.

Orm -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (8/29/2016 9:15:35 PM)

How will the surprise points be applied?

And what will the first target be (if this can be decided now)?

AllenK -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (8/29/2016 9:22:18 PM)

I'm assuming the AA is NE. 2 points spent to increase damage to 2D, A, with the first D on the CP. If AA isn't NE, then the spare 2 points should do the trick.

Orm -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (8/29/2016 9:31:25 PM)

One convoy point sunk and one cruiser damaged. Which ship will Italy assign the abort result?

AllenK -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (8/29/2016 9:34:54 PM)

It can go on the Edinburgh, thanks.

Orm -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (8/29/2016 9:47:51 PM)

HMS Edinburgh got aborted. With only a damaged cruiser remaining CW decides to abort that as well.

Will the Italian forces stay in the sea area?

AllenK -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (8/29/2016 9:50:15 PM)

Yes thanks.

Orm -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (8/29/2016 10:00:26 PM)

With the Allied submarines hiding from the Italian bombers the naval combat ends. (No searches in any other sea area)

Edit: HMS Edinburgh aborted to Tangier.

This ends the Allied actions for this evening since the hour is late. [:(]

Hi Gents

Sorry I have been off radar but things have been manic at work since returning from holiday - added to which I have picked up a rotten cold
[:(]

Thanks for holding the fort Ormster - I will try and get back into the fold by the end of the week/weekend at the latest.

AllenK -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (8/30/2016 8:24:46 PM)

Welcome back.

Orm -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (8/31/2016 2:35:29 PM)

No strategic bombing. No Ground Strikes.

USSR rail one garrison to Persia.

In China the Communists use 4 land moves to reinforce their line. The defensive line south of Kunming is straightened.

CW rebase one FTR3 from Northern Spain to Tangier. One LND3 rebase from England to Spanish Morocco. And another LND3 rebase from England to Northern Spain.

No land combats. No reorganization.

S/O 40 Axis 2

No DoW or alignments.

Germany Land. Italy and Japan Combined.

Italian Re.2000 flies to Cape St Vincent 2-box.

The reconstituted Tokyo Mil sails to Hanoi. Italian sub heads for Cape St Vincent 2-box.

2 areas for naval combat.

[image]local://upfiles/47730/8825BFC555134823B50C3B919489391D.jpg[/image]

AllenK -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (9/3/2016 1:22:45 PM)

First up, Cape St Vincent.

The Re.2000 begins searching while the Germans and Italians each fly a Nav to the 2-box.

A substantial portion of the RAF, plus their Spanish allies are available for defence. Anybody taking to the skies?

Orm -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (9/3/2016 1:28:18 PM)

CW send the Spitfire I (5 strength FTR2) and the Swordfish (Nav2) to the 0-box.

AllenK -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (9/3/2016 1:43:32 PM)

Swordfish with Spitfires escorting scramble to the defence of the convoys.

The Italian sub skipper decides to stay deep.

Searches: Axis 1, Allies 4. The Axis planes locate the Allied scouting cruisers. 2 surprise points decrease their AA fire to NE. The two cruisers are aborted (note, I didn't use the die roller programme for the A results as 3 A's meant it was unnecessary).

AllenK -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (9/3/2016 1:48:53 PM)

Round 2.

Guessing the Allies aren't likely to retire at this stage and won't commit any more air, we get to searches. Rolls of Axis 5 and Allies 8 end proceedings. Where do the French and Spanish cruisers abort to?

Orm -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (9/3/2016 1:50:27 PM)

The Spanish cruiser go to Spanish Sahara. The Fresh cruiser go to Canary Islands.

AllenK -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (9/3/2016 1:58:11 PM)

Combat declined in West Med.

Japanese artillery opens up on two stacks of Communist units while 2 bombers target the Sian Mil east of Yenan.

AllenK -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (9/3/2016 2:23:02 PM)

German 150mm's open up on Spanish troops sheltering in the mountains.

[image]local://upfiles/47730/0BB2135827DD436BA213D921688ACF76.jpg[/image]

AllenK -> RE: 4 player E-mail: A (9/3/2016 2:29:19 PM)

The Italian artillery captain is dismayed when they unpack the ammunition to find it stamped "75mm, gun salute, for ceremonial use only". They fire it off anyway to at least make some noise.
