From CIC-SWPAC to CIC-PAC Western Australia Enemy Forces have come ashore at Geraldton, their strength is not great at this time but we can expect more forces ashore soon to overwhelm the defenders. The 1st Australian Army HQ was already in route and should arrive in the next seventy-two hours and all forces in the area will fall under its command. At this time the one US Army Infantry Division and two Australian Brigades in the reserve are in route. South Pacific will release the 23rd Aus Brigade, the 31st US Infantry Rgt and 112th Cavalry Rgt as soon as shipping can be found to get them to Australia. At this time limited air units will move to the front but the 5th Air Forces has been ordered to embark immediately to assist. More details will follow as the size and scope of the landings is known. The advance in the east will continue but one American Division will be pulled from the front to be added to the reserve. Recommend the South Pacific launch Warpath ASAP to relieve pressure....... (C) Can he move in and cut the rail line at Kalgoorlie? If not I think this will not go well for him. As long as I can shift forces and supply from the East he is in trouble.... From CIC-PAC to POTUS Operation Warpath has been approved on an expedited timeline. The landing forces are in place on Wallis Island and the Combined Allied Carrier Fleet is at Pago Pago. The required lift in in route to Wallis Island and we should begin loading in the next six days, expected to land in the next 15 to 21 days. The allied heavy bomber forces (157 4E Bombers) from Aoba Island will start to close the airfield at Tulagi before shifting to ground support at Ndeni. From Military Advisory Committee on China to POTUS At this point the Chinese Theater of Operations is as stable as possible. Over the last week the Japanese army has opened a drive on Sian and a push for Wenchow. Sian "Drive" This drive is going well for the Japanese army after several attacks they have paused to regroup. At this point forces are being redeployed to form a new line and hold the road that leads to Sian. There is a chance Sian could fall but this would be months away at this point in time. Wenchow "Pocket" The drive outside of Wenchow is going well for the Japanese army and all of the roads into and out of the city should be closed in the next sixty days. A large number of units are preparing for Perth including the 14th Army. At this time it is not clear if we can hold the line as noted in the attached map, only the 16th LH MG Rgt and the 4th LH Cav Rgt have reached the line. Additional units are in route to include the 41st Infantry Division. Eastern Australia The first attack into Cairns favored the enemy, heavily with the 15th Australian Bde taking the burnt of the casualties. At this time we are going to continue the daily aerial and artillery bombardment. The West Virginia and New Mexico are now both on-station at Townsville and will provide naval bombardment every other day. We are moving to block the forces marching south from Geraldton, At this time the enemy's strength marching south is unknown and we can expect a landing anytime at Perth from the sea. While a large number of engineer units are now in route, we will need may need massive additional combat forces. Eastern Australia The simple truth of the matter is that we are stalemated for the present. The West Virginia and New Mexico are now both on-station at Townsville and will provide naval bombardment every two of three days but until we can both prevent resupply and force him to use the supply on-hand we will not be able to dig the Japanese army out of their positions for a cost the Allied forces are prepared to pay. Air and Naval bombardment will continue, a group of PT boats will also sortie from time to time to intercept shipping. A combined US/OZ/NZ Light Cruiser and Destroyer force will also raid Cairns. Given that we are less than a year into the war, we need to time to bring the preponderance for our production/forces to bear if we are to eject the Japanese for these shores. Well this is Peachy... He might be able to cut the rail line but there is at least there is still a road open to Perth. Plus the 41s US Infantry Division may have something to say about how long the rail line stays cut..... I Think the Japanese Were a Turn too Late..... The 28th Austrailian Bdge arrived in Perth via rail and two Base Forces at Cunderdin. The 41st Infantry will move west out of Cunderdin and the 30th Australian Bde (just arrived at Kalgoorlie) will de-train and move east. There are now 184 Engineers, 30 Engineer Vehicles with the airfield at 1(7) 28%. When it hits Level 5 the Four Engine Bombers will be transferred. Lots of Engineers and some additional combat forces are in route, he may be able to grab Perth but I think I have a good shot at holding Cunderdin. From CIC-PAC to POTUS Operation Warpath At D-Day Minus 2. The Carrier Wasp took a torpedo two days ago but it still battle ready and will continue to support operations until it withdraws to Sydney for repair. Naval Forces off Eastern Australia Two Days ago the West Virginia took a torpedo and is withdrawing to Sydney for repairs. The next day Naval and Air Forces of the United States had a very fine day. The Oz/NZ/US Destroy force hit Cooktown, while night bombing by the heavy bombers hit the airfield and the P-38's swept the skies. This is the third time now the Zeros have moved back in to Cooktown and have been driven off. In the past this was done solely by the air force, with the addition of the navy the Japanese will need to rethink their resupply options. Given the concerns of raised by the Australian Government, the Navy will be happy to conduct a quick carrier raid in the Cooktown area after the operation is concluded at Warpath. At the same time we have located lift to return one Australian LH Regiment and we will be adding on US Army Infantry Regiment. This is in addition to the Fighter ACU now in-route. Naval Forces off Western Australia The remainder of the Japanese carrier fleet is now off of Perth and conducting operations to reduce the forces there. At this time due to the lack of shipyards, ports and fuel in Australia the Navy does not feel it would be wise to deploy the carrier fleet to this area. Status of the Battleship's Someone asked me in a PM about the status of my Battleship as it seems they have been hit hard. In truth, this pretty much the case. To date three battleships have done down, the Pennsylvania, Oklahoma and Maryland and most of the slow US Battleships are in for repair. 1. At Pearl Harbor, the Oklahoma went down to fires that we could not get under control. 2. Leaving Pearl harbor fifteen hexes went on the way to San Francisco the Maryland ran across two submarines. The submarines each fired four torpedoes all of which hit and exploded sending her to the bottom. 3. The Pennsylvania went down due to the task force chasing and sinking a fleet while bombarding Cairns. Due to the storms the CAP did not fly. A) The West Virginia leads the 1st Allied Battle Fleet at Townsville and is bombarding Cairns. B) The Nevada is making repairs at Sydney and will soon depart to join the 1st Allied Battle Fleet. C) The Tennessee, Idaho, Arizona along with the Warspite are repairing their system damage before heading to the West Coast for repair. D) The California is in route now to the West Coast for Repair. E) The Colorado is at San Francisco repairing the damage from Pearl Harbor. F) The Mississippi and New Mexico are in route from Pago Pago to join the 1st Allied Battle Fleet. Its a Mess.... It may be a mess but I am pretty sure I can re-open the rail line and hold it open when the 41st US Infantry Division attacks this turn. The airfield at Kalgoorlie is 3(7) 15% and climbing once it hits level 8 I will move the heavy bombers in and close the Japanese airfields. It is not clear to me if he can take Perth, Intel reports there are eight units and 10,000 troops marching south in the one force but until I get hard facts on the units I won't know. There is a second US Infantry Division on rails moving to Perth once the rail line open so unless he get there fast or commits more force I should be able to hold. From CIC-SWPAC to CIC-PAC Western Australia The situation is still fluid, the 41st Infantry Division has reopened the rail line but we are still waiting on additional forces to arrive in Perth. One Australian Infantry Brigade and one LH Regiment hold the hex east of Perth. While on LH Regiment, One Australian and One Indian Brigade hold Perth behind level three fours. The 41st Infantry Division is moving to hold open the hex east of Perth and the Americal Division will move to Perth. At this point we can hold the area, if the Americal arrives in time. The question is what else does he have to commit? Eastern Australia The Naval bombardment has finally started to destroy a support squad when the battleships arrive, at this rate we will be ready to launch another attack in a week or two. Everyone, I just wanted to say thank you to opponent Lam0ttePicquet. I have had to take a break from posting in my AAR due to an imbalance in the work, life and PBEM and AAR. I have had a two large projects in process, two certifications to collect, a storm which damaged a roof and then had to sell the house and we are now getting ready to move into a new house just down the road. But I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Lam0ttePicquet. I have been unable to get fail his moral check or slow his aggressive approach. I will see about getting the updates posted as we have moved into 1943.....

Eastern Australia, the Forces Bombarding Cairns They Key to my line in Burma is contesting in the air, the airfield at Akyab in the one of the two linchpins. The second linchpin is sea transport moving supplies 20,000 per convoy to keep the forces in supply as the roads can't keep up. Japanese forces have been unable to break through in the air so it was just a matter of time until their surface fleet was committed. The BB Valiant will later be sunk by unknown Japanese submarine forces after the battle. However after Admiral Sir James Somerville victory Japanese surface forces have not returned..... From CIC-PAC to POTUS Central Pacific December 29th 1942 As you are aware Mr. President on the 23rd of December the Japanese Carrier Fleet was spotted North of Penrhyn Island in route to Starbuck Island area. We were not certain at this time if this was simply a raid on our Convoy route from the west coast or a raid on Pago Pago (as a reaction to the Carries supporting the landing at Tulagi). Excellent Point, they date was buried in some of the charts but I put it at the top. The losses have been heavy for everyone in the last six months of fighting.....
