rhondabrwn -> Rhondalynn's Good News Cancer Thread (5/1/2016 9:49:01 PM)

Great Idea! New thread to emphasize positive things happening in my life rather than dwelling on the negative. I'll post good things like I got all my computer games organized yesterday and even started on Hearts of Iron III last night. Going to systematically play my collection.

Started my inventory of magazines and board games in preparation for selling them to help out with medical expenses.

Did some careful walking exercises to get mobile without clinging to a walker or wheel chair.

Had a healthy meal and a big salad.

A good day!

So look here for good stuff happening in my life [:)]

While it is kind of sad you are having to sell your collection, I think it is great you are keeping a positive mind and also playing through them before you sell them. Let's hope they are really long play throughs!!

rickier65 -> RE: Rhondalynn's Good News Cancer Thread (5/2/2016 12:17:32 AM)

Great idea a positive thread! I keep thinking I need to work through my Computer games and start playing them. I have several that I barely got past the tutorials. Life just keeps happening and then I see another that I really want. Now I have more than I care to think about that have barely been touched.

Enjoy (and seize) the day Rhonda!

Rick

I'm just posting to wish you well and push this thread above the other one.

Hey Rhonda,

I saw this article of an antibody taken by a women in Las Vegas which has seemed to work for her. http://www.reviewjournal.com/opinion/columns-blogs/paul-harasim/antibody-drug-leaves-local-woman-free-cancer-casket-nightmares

rhondabrwn -> RE: Rhondalynn's Good News Cancer Thread (5/3/2016 4:11:26 PM)

Had a bit of a restless night, but as I was getting up my son popped in with a huge container of Dunkin Doughnuts coffee to go with my morning muffin and raised my spirits 100%

Don is such a jewel! He is always there with groceries, snacks, new electronic hook ups for stuff like a video server for the movies on my stack of hard drives. These days I feel so computer illiterate [:D]

No shortage of things to do. Hope to be out and about by the time my daughter gets here from Guam. Weather is improving everything has greened up. Ready to start making sure every minute counts [:)]

Sounds like an excellent way to start the day!

Hospice staff descended on me this afternoon to provide wound care to the Femur surgical site. Also working on other problems with that leg. Feeling good about it.

Talon_XBMCX -> RE: Rhondalynn's Good News Cancer Thread (5/6/2016 1:38:45 AM)

Keep feeling good Ronda ... we're all pulling for you!

Canoerebel -> RE: Rhondalynn's Good News Cancer Thread (5/6/2016 2:53:44 AM)

We (fittingly) build monuments (and later create video games) after troops go into battle. It's not often we recognize those who individually face great conflicts on their own (or with the help of a few friends and loving family members). Perhaps one day far, far into the future, Matrix will offer a new game: "Steadfast."

Thanks for the positive updates, Rhonda, and best wishes.

Having trouble getting up and on my feet the last three days [:(] Yesterday I spent six hours trapped on a love seat. Luckily the hospice nurse came in around 6 pm and got me up and into bed for the night. stayed in bed till almost 11 this morning. Teacher collegue who is up in Alaska shipped me three jars of exotic organic Jam plus some foot bath. Mixed day [:)]

Haven't heard from you lately. Are you walking better now after some time to recuperate from the hip injury?

Has anyone heard from Rhonda?

wodin -> RE: Rhondalynn's Good News Cancer Thread (6/13/2016 6:25:32 PM)

This is very worrying now. We may have to presume the worse I fear.

british exil -> RE: Rhondalynn's Good News Cancer Thread (6/13/2016 7:36:20 PM)

I'm sure her relatives would have posted some kind of information, if something bad had happened.
Maybe there is just a simple reason why she has been so quite for such a long time. I hope.

Mat

I'm not so sure, e.g., even if they knew where Rhonda was posting they might not have her passwords; that's often a problem for family members who need to close the Twitter and Facebook accounts of departed relatives.

british exil -> RE: Rhondalynn's Good News Cancer Thread (6/20/2016 9:36:13 PM)

Rhondalynn, she will be sorely missed.
I always had the impression she had a smile while posting in the forums, no matter how difficult it was for her.

RIP.
