MJ41 i1:
Italy and Japan take combined actions, while Germany takes a land.
There are fighter flown to the 2-box of the W. Med and an Italian sub moved to CSV 3-box.

The Italians initiate combat in the W. Med with the IT fighter in the 1-box. Axis reacted out 2 NAV's to the 2-box.
The CW can react out several planes (shown in the attached image). Will you react any aircraft?

rkr1958 -> RE: Pat vs Ronnie GW AAR (10/6/2016 5:20:06 AM)

P-40 Tomahawk to 0-box. The allies will choose to avoid combat if they can.

ashkpa -> RE: Pat vs Ronnie GW AAR (10/6/2016 6:09:54 AM)

Successfully avoided on rolls of 8/3. The Axis did not initiate combat in CSV.

ashkpa -> RE: Pat vs Ronnie GW AAR (10/6/2016 6:14:52 AM)

ashkpa -> RE: Pat vs Ronnie GW AAR (10/6/2016 6:54:18 AM)

MJ41 i1:
CW can support the Spanish defenders with air support (current odds are 62:10 with 18 more German GS factors to be applied). Do they wish to? Germans could intercept the allied bombers.
There is only one other attack in Yugo versus the partisan (it is automatic).

ashkpa -> RE: Pat vs Ronnie GW AAR (10/8/2016 10:15:48 PM)

I will engage the 4-box only. I believe I will have 2 surprise points.
Make it a naval air. Fly both of my fighters as fighters and the two NAV's as bombers.
Use my 2 SP to reduce the AA to ne.
Result versus the allies should be 2D 3A
1st D versus the transport
1st A versus the Liverpool (unless it was impacted by your choice on the 2nd D - which I think highly unlikely).
3rd A Liverpool if it has a 1/2A otherwise versus the Norfolk or Exeter (which ever has not been impacted yet).

Turn 11. May/June 1941. Allied #2. West Med, Search. Round 2.

Both sides stay. The axis once again find and surprise the allies.

How do you wish to proceed?

ashkpa -> RE: Pat vs Ronnie GW AAR (10/8/2016 11:22:22 PM)

This time I will engage the 1-box only with 6 surprise points. If I see it right you have two CA's there, one of which is transporting a division and a sub, which I assume is not committed.
Make it a naval air. fighters fly as fighters, NAV as bombers.
Use 2 SP to reduce AA to ne.
Use 4 SP to increase damage two columns, to X 2A
Place the X on the CA caring the division.
2nd A on non-loaded CA if possible.

Turn 11. May/June 1941. Allied #3. West Med, Search. Round 3.

Both sides stay. The axis, again, find and surprise the allies.

How would you like to proceed? The Allies did NOT commit their subs this time.

ashkpa -> RE: Pat vs Ronnie GW AAR (10/8/2016 11:46:12 PM)

This time, I'll engage the 0-box only, with 8 surprise points.
I'll make it a naval air.
The Emil, Freccia, and Falco will fly as fighters (in that order).
The other 4 planes will fly as bombers.
I will use no surprise points in the Air-Air.
I will use enough SP to reduce the AA to ne.
I will use remaining SP to increase columns. If there is an X the first X will go against the FR transport.

Turn 11. May/June 1941. Allied #2. West Med. Round 4. Search.

Finally, the RN and French navies are able to break off contact and end what is another rough exchange with the axis in the Western Med.
