Jungle warfare. 5000 points, 10% arty, 1 air. Meeting engagement, large map. Visibility 24 (or something). Teräspantteri has not yet had the time to write anything, but here's how i see the battle. Turn 1: "Marine company sat in their LVT 1 Alligators. LVT's were driving slowly through thick jungle and swamp. If marines would've looked what's in front of them they would've seen a scout car driving into a little stream and stuck in there. Scout car crew started to dislodge the vehicle as Alligators swiftly splashed across the little river. Suddenly horrible explosions shook the ground. Infantry that were running along dived into the gound. Enemy heavy artillery fired upon their apporoach. Screams mixed into the explosions as artillety fire cut down two soldiers. Also one scout car took a little hit and the crew started to change the tire on that one. There were no sight of enemy." Turn 2: "Marine company B had just crossed the river as they heard several violent explosions nearby that sent big piles of water in the air. Soldiers immediately recogized the explosions to be from a japanese tank. They noticed three tanks to their left at about 300 meters distance. They were targetting the alligators just as they were getting out of water. Two alligators were hit and the squads jumped into the swamp to seek cover. M3A1 platoon noticed a lone airplane approaching from the sky. Alligators opened fire as soon as they saw that it was a zero. Several AAMGs fired at the plane and someone scored a hit, but that didn't prevent the airplane from dropping the bombload on top of a poor M3A1 tank. Company A was badly pinned down due to heavy artillery fire to the area. They wished their commander would've requested those alligators too. Marines took a few potshots on the enemy but it was all just a waste of ammo."
