Orders got fouled up and this 1/3rd of division shocks across the river in and then is savaged the following day.

Chinese marching forward in a broad front.

The line around Yenki is horribly weak...can't understand why the Soviets aren't pushing forward.

Something I always forget I guess

Your opponents doesn't always know how weak you are in certain places, or how strong you are in others!

I have been aiming to hit these oilers for several days now...and a Val squadron gets an afternoon shot at them. I suspect the Allies will be able to save them.[:(]

If they carried fuel, as they should, then may burn up...

September 1, 1942

Lowpe -> RE: Soviets Activated.... (8/18/2018 10:53:15 AM)

91 more days till the 3rd Tank Division forms up and arrives.

Japan can stop this advance, I think, but the cost in supplies and allocating forces here weaken other areas.

Allies just have so many units.

There is 80K oil at Miri and Brunei combined....and that is it. So, lets say the economy can limp along for four months I suspect ... less if the Allies bomb industry on Honshu which is in easy reach.

Why Tarakan and Balikpapan are out of the equation?

Anyhow, the endangering of your remaining fuel resources -together with failed seizure of the greatest part of them n Sumatra- is the bleakest part of your current campaign

September 2, 1942

That is how the Soviets got activated.

Outnumbered, lacking AT guns, but the 65th Brigade fights tenaciously on. Look at those lousy AA guns.[:(]

September 3rd, 1942

Should hold norther Luzon for awhile. 65th Brigade holds firm despite being seriously outnumbered, and forts hold for a 2nd straight day.

Lost track of the Allied carriers, while the KB is at Formosa training and repairing system damage.

Pulling back what little troops in Burma there are...

Launching a counter offensive against the Soviets in western Manchuko...I think my recon is telling me that the Soviets can be hurt particularly in the area of afvs right now.

Tankers filling up at Balikpapen...is that the next Allied target?

The Saigon defenders enter friendly lines at surrounded Cam Ranh Bay.

How many PPs are you left now?

what the chances of a naval win in south China Sea?

how are you faring against his subs in S. China Sea? Some sinkings, bad damages?

PP: I am up to 800 right now. Saving to buy out a division from Honshu...might start buying it out in 1/3rds'.

I am working on a naval win in S. China seas. I am somewhat optimistic.

I will generate a report on sunk subs, I have done substantial damage to them.

Sept 4, 1942

Zekes sweep downing 9 fighters to no losses, but doesn't wear out the CAP, as a few fighters are present in the morning to cause some Nicks to jettison their bomb loads...

A nice little strike, unfortunately the LRCAP Zeroes didn't fly, and the Nicks returned in the afternoon losing 8 to the enemy CAP.

Perhaps they haven't figured out which way to point the end with the hole . . .[:D]

Lowpe -> RE: Soviets Activated.... (8/24/2018 6:44:20 PM)

A super quiet day, but lots of movement...Allies pushing forward everywhere but Rabaul area.

Sallies visit the Chinese at Ichang, and they don't attack despite the 3-1 advantage in raw AV.

Japan must have bombarded Tabby a dozen times by now, and only once did they do any damage to the building ports and airfields.

Twice this game the Navy has bombarded packed runways, only to target the troops.

Not sure what I could be doing wrong as dl is very good. For examples today's bombardments:

If you figure it out, share. It seems to be totally random and Murphy totally rules my random rolls.... [:(]

The days and nights are tough...Japan knew they were coming for Balikpapen, but not much to be done here...
