The North

Will the Allies continue to focus on this area, or will they pull back and try for the Marshalls, Wake, or New Guinea.

Well, if I am trying only to make Jan 1, 1945...well then it isn't too, too bad. Yet. However, with the Yank air bases in Manchuko, it will get bad before 1942 is over.

I suspect it is moving on Palembang along with the 255th ARmored and probably an Australian division.

The Australian unit would still have militia squads at this date. I think.

The American Army and Navy dive bombers squadrons there at Java-singapur area can bring upon you considerable pain and damage. You must be very careful not move ships into their range, if not properly screened and escorted.

I was afraid that the Allied fleet was a ruse, an elaborate trap for my ships.

The planes came to bomb the ships...several cargo ships sank in port, but the warships didn't get scratched, except for a destroyer by a mine.

Lowpe -> RE: Soviets Activated.... (11/1/2017 5:33:27 PM)

Sending the IJN destroyers and one heavy cruiser to just north of Palembang, under a small but good Zero CAP that is unlikely to be swept. Multiple small task force tactic in play.

Bering Island Mdeny and the Aleut have all gotten supply, engineers and troops so feel pretty good there for now. Kuriles are much stronger and the lower half of Sakhalin seems secured.

As is usual, Japan's shipyards are full to brim with ships being repaired.

Rufes are 8 days away, Nicks and A6M3 will both arrive in May, May 1st for the Nick, and May 5-6th for the A6M3 (3 weeks early). June will see the Tojo IIa.

Production will be strong...and should be more than enough to turn the tables on the Allies rather quickly I think. The Yankee air bases in Manchuko are size 3 and 1...lets see what happens when Mishan turns level 4.

Right now I am planning on allocating 3 size 30 factories to the A6M3a...and that is it. No other research facilities into the A6 line will be done. I haven't done the math, but I think I will live with the A6M3 and 3a till Jack/George/Sam arrive...which might make for a dicy first half of 44. Perhaps too dicey if I make it that far.

Those Russian Motor Rifle Divisions have been eating their spinach!

PaxMondo -> RE: Soviets Activated.... (11/2/2017 4:55:19 AM)

Whereas his 20th ID is pretty ragged; the 14th ID ain't much better. If Tsitshar is clear terrain (I think so, but don't have the game open to verify), it is going to be a brutal battle to hold. You could really use those 2 AT units that start at HK here ...
