Of interest is this post I found from June 5, 2020 where explorer.exe was crashing due to similar issues Posted June 5 · Original Poster Hello, I've been experiencing this issue with my HP Pavilion x360 (2016) running Windows 10 2004. Sometimes, when I'm working, Explorer.exe would just crash which would cause the taskbar to reset. I have also checked the integrity of the system files on my pc and all passed ok Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.19041.388] (c) 2020 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
