vonRocko -> tech support login (6/22/2017 1:19:30 PM)

Why is this the only forum that I have to log in to see the tech support?[&:]

zakblood -> RE: tech support login (6/22/2017 2:21:46 PM)

if you use the same login and save the cookies and have a good browser, you don't as the browser does it for you, so as long as you don't clear the cache and cookies and passwords etc, just other net junk, it's a one click login tbh

DEB -> RE: tech support login (6/22/2017 4:07:07 PM)

Zakblood. You appear to have missed the point of the question posed.

"All" ( most ? ) of the other forums on the Matrix website, allow you to view the tech support area of a game's forum without logging in at all ( i.e. you can view as a guest ).

Therefore why must we have to login to visit ( view ) the ECW forums tech support ???

[ Logging in to post I get, but to view !!! ]

[ Edit : BTW : the TYW game ( also an Ageod game ) does not require this... ]

zakblood -> RE: tech support login (6/22/2017 4:38:12 PM)

ah sorry, no idea, doesn't work like that for me, and i have same account here as both of you, so must be something in your login or browser as i don't have to[:(]

seems it may be a permissions issue, so i'll ask and see who responds first

sorry for the issue and my first post as it seems i'm wrong again, making a habit of it here atm so less than 50/50 atm[X(]

[:(]

vonRocko -> RE: tech support login (6/22/2017 8:11:45 PM)

Yes, DEB put it better than I did, but that was what I was asking. It's not a big deal, I was just curious.

Thanks

VPaulus -> RE: tech support login (6/22/2017 9:24:38 PM)

It should be an issue related with permissions.
I'll report this to the forum admins.
Sorry, guys.

VPaulus -> RE: tech support login (6/26/2017 2:38:55 PM)

The issue should now be fixed.

zakblood -> RE: tech support login (6/26/2017 2:45:00 PM)

If I am not logged in, I get an (asp500.100) error when trying to view a Tech thread. Main Tech Area opens but sub topics can't be accessed.[&:]

(Works fine when logged in though.)[:)]

vonRocko -> RE: tech support login (7/6/2017 2:14:01 PM)

Same problem here. It was working, but now I get the error message.[&:]

DEB -> RE: tech support login (7/10/2017 5:00:09 PM)

Please see my previous post.

This still needs to be "re-fixed".

Can this be re-reported to the forum admins please ?

Thanks.

Please note the problem still exists.

Worth reminding ??

DEB -> RE: tech support login (8/14/2017 8:59:56 PM)

Further to my previous post ( in this thread ), the latest problem still remains. [:(]

[ It's now almost ( 2 days short of ) 6 weeks since this was originally advised ... ] [:-]

It's way past time it was fixed. Can someone please deal / arrange A.S.A.P. [&o]

zakblood -> RE: tech support login (8/18/2017 6:16:49 AM)

ok, posted it again, sorry its broke again

zakblood -> RE: tech support login (8/18/2017 6:19:18 AM)

works fine for me, so every time i check it, it works, then again i'm using chrome on windows 10, and that is very good on keeping settings and cookies for every site and page i'm on[:(]

zakblood -> RE: tech support login (8/18/2017 6:23:56 AM)

can you all post what browsers you have that don't work?

as if i try it, without logging in, on this test pc, or any i use to test games on, most of which are never used on forums, all work fine

[image]local://upfiles/43185/F49E519C31674A53894A83163F81CF2B.jpg[/image]

windows 10

Google Chrome Version 60.0.3112.101 (Official Build) (64-bit)

zakblood -> RE: tech support login (8/18/2017 6:28:39 AM)

and again in windows 10 edge

[image]local://upfiles/43185/3841206228E54515991874562FA289BA.jpg[/image]

windows 10

Microsoft Edge 40.15063.0.0

Microsoft EdgeHTML 15.15063

all cache and cookies cleared and fully 100% clean, so not logged in, guest visitor account permissions used only to view the tech support pages

me advice is, clear your cache and cookies, and or use a better browser

jack54 -> RE: tech support login (8/18/2017 2:04:33 PM)

Hi Zak if not signed in I can get where you are but if I try to open a topic I get the error message.(asp500.100)

8.1 default IE 11 (11.0.9600.18739)

Same thing happens on my Kindle Fire 'Silk' browser.

zakblood -> RE: tech support login (8/18/2017 4:37:58 PM)

if your not signed in and you can see it, then that's all you can do anyway, read, you can't post, only look

if a given browser doesn't work, use another

jack54 -> RE: tech support login (8/18/2017 8:37:54 PM)

You are missing the point... I'm not trying to post just open a topic....ie 'help from Scotland'.

I've actually resigned myself that only the ECW tech forum doesn't work without being signed in.... Just giving you info since you're trying to help.

Internet Explorer 11, Firefox and Silk all give error message.(asp500.100)

zakblood -> RE: tech support login (8/19/2017 3:39:13 AM)

ok thanks and sorry i misunderstood, will ask again, but for me i'd use a supported browser still, as i'd guess something is wrong in them,

if you clear the cache and cookies with Internet Explorer, it works, then again i have a later version

the more info the better, so hopefully now the web team will look and see a common point and find or suggest a solution, the board is old, and needs to be moved onto a more modern database like slitherine is on, then it would support more, but that's for another day

vonRocko -> RE: tech support login (8/20/2017 9:12:28 PM)

I doubt it is the browser, because it works for all the other matrix tech support forums except this one. Besides, at one point this was fixed, then somehow went back.[&:]

zakblood -> RE: tech support login (8/21/2017 4:19:22 AM)

some browser caches work differently, as once cleared it works fine for me, on the ones tested, if it doesn't on other browser, then for me it's a browser issue, but forum staff have been told, and are working on it, just what they can do if it works for them also on the software they use is another thing, they can't and won't i'd guess test all the different types, as there's to many and not enough users who would benefit from it, i'm sorry to say, it's a small % only, so a large % it works for

RichG -> RE: tech support login (8/21/2017 10:55:49 AM)

I get the exact same issue using up to date Chrome or Firefox (which I presume are 'supported'), and also Vivaldi. All produce a 'ASP 500.100 Error'. Clearing the cache makes no difference. As does attempting to view from a different PC.

The only way to see the posts is to login, after which they appear fine. But I don't necessarily want to be forced to login every time I come here.

zakblood -> RE: tech support login (8/21/2017 12:12:20 PM)

i finally manged to replicate what your seeing, it's not the tech post forum which can't be viewed, it's posts in side the tech forum, my bad, just got the same error today, after clearing everything and trying in both browsers i use

for me it's the
quote:

ie 'help from Scotland'.
bit which i wasn't reading right, and as such, couldn't get it to work the same as you all saw, now i can, so hopefully a more permanent solution can be found, which will work for everyone

[image]local://upfiles/43185/4041ADDF696A4B9693F59D1217078AFD.jpg[/image]

sorry my bad, i'll blame me for not reading it correctly [:(]

post has been past on again, my bad[sm=00000945.gif][sm=00000734.gif]
