ORIGINAL: AndrewNguyen1984 I don't know if this is the right spot for it instead of creating a brand new thread but for Air-Sea Battle, could the F/A-18s (mainly Es and Fs) that are stations in Australia, could I transfer them to the Nimitz and Eisenhower by any chance or should I just drop the idea. You might be able to, but keep in mind Aussie pilots don’t train to land on ships so it isn’t super realistic. Ah nuts. Good point. I wanted to strengthen carriers while taking the strain off the land-based tanker aircraft Also after thinking about this, is this a good strategy in playing this scenario: Go through Makassar Strait with most if not all the fleet and get in between the islands and the Philippines. Link two additional DDGs to the carriers to give them the most firepower needed and let them lead first before bringing up the rest of the ships. If willing to go for more manual control, assign two destroyers to each carrier group in an indirect manner (step by step control) and then put the destroyers in front the moment the carriers reach targeting position. Use Raptors after transferring them closer to the battle zone for screenings along with F-35s Main aircraft complements USS Nimitz and Eisenhower: F/A-18Cs (close in CAP support along with fighter cover for attack force), F/A-18 Es (escort for strike force), F/A-18Fs (strike force), F-35Cs (escort for strike and attack force) . USS America: F-35Bs (individual strike force reserve)
