The Grafin will not be happy if she saw your report. She likes the CM Tsugaru.

She likes to target it?

She had a picture of it with her sigi. It does carry a float plane.

witpqs -> RE: 1943 November 29 (7/24/2020 2:22:18 AM)

I run both Tracker and Intel Monkey. IM does not try to replace Tracker, rather do things Tracker doesn't do.

Yeah, Allied ASW improvement is coded in. Still, getting to launch 6...

Overall

• No carrier info.

West Coast USA, Alaska, Hawaii

• Several DB and TB squadrons flew off the fleet carrier heading to Pearl Harbor to get a head start on drawing replacements. Some DB squadrons upgraded from SBD-3 to SBD-5 which nicely short circuits the 12-plane replacements per week limit.

Pacific

• Marcus Island is down to about 4,370 stacking (out of 6,000) so we are sending an air HQ and another small base force. It will likely take quite a while to enlarge the airfield so I might send an engineer unit for short term residency.

New Zealand, Australia, New Caledonia, New Hebrides, Solomons, Papua New Guinea, New Britain

• Our troops have finally cut off all possible retreat paths from the eastern tip of New Guinea; tomorrow the first assault at Buna plus Kokoda will be occupied. The 2nd USMC Raider Bn will land at Milne Bay, making three there. An assault will be launched the following day.

• Arm, Eng, Inf, Inf, and HQ units to assault Rabaul are at 81%, 84%, 90%, 90%, and 97% preparation so that operation will commence soon.

DEI, Dutch New Guinea, Borneo, Malaya

Philippines

China

India, Burma, Thailand, Indochina

Japan, Korea, Manchuria, Russia

• Continued minor activity around the Bonins but that is on the edge of our naval search. We have a lot more subs on the way to interdict any traffic there.

Complete combat report attached.

RangerJoe -> RE: 1943 December 02 (7/25/2020 5:16:39 PM)

If you divide the unit into thirds, each third can take the limit on replacements.

Yes, I do that, but I meant to say that is their preparation percentage. They are all at 100% TOE.

I thought that exploit was fixed.

A squadron can take 12 planes.
A fractional squadron can take 4 planes.

I thought you guys were talking about LCU's, where it is not an exploit. No, I've never done that with air units. Don't plan to.

Edit to add: Because it was mentioned after my reference to the preparation percentage of the LCU's for upcoming target(s).

Indiana will take 30 days and might miss the next invasion; South Dakota is heading to San Francisco and will definitely miss the next invasion.

Yikes!

I kept it moving. We'll see. If it takes on more water I'll have to turn it around and just hope it gets back to Pearl, and then let it take half a year or something to reduce damage sufficiently to move it.
