If the Russian neck gets more stretched out, then I will plan a sever move.

Very difficult position for you. I would be tempted to send a peace envoy [:)]
However I know you don't give up easily and if anyone can turn it around you can.

Personally I would forgo any risky low odds assualts during the snow turns. Your army looks shattered and needs time to rebuild. I would concentrate on high odds easy wins to rebuild morale fast.
A fully recovered army in June will give you one hail Mary chance to turn this game around.

These Russian reserve activations are troublesome.

Many more ahead as HYLA set up is spread and many Russian units have not moved for a number of turns.

Makes hasty attacks touch and go.

and a few losses mostly during hasty attacks which run into reserve activation

2 strikes on each base. Fighters getting mauled.

I will in future mass pack my bases to limit total base attacks.

No south neck to chop off.

Trying to save his army. Also Russian recon has not been heavy lately looking for tanks

And a very nice rout into abandoned Russian space just north of Pskov.

Russian have also retreated here to better terrain and less frontage.

Also makes my frontage smaller which aides me.

I'm leaving open my options about which route to take to capture Leningrad in 42'

Which I feel would be amazing but very difficult


First I need to pinch in and get closer. Each nice spring week I will hit hard and try to get closer.

HYLA has to decide to leave good troops here and defend, including new inf corp and cav corp, leaving him less of those elsewhere.
or to sacrifice and slow my moves to surround Leningrad. Perhaps it will hold being surrounded.

By summer i need this area cleaned up and the armor shipped south and middle.
