3 areas in Russian are expecting moderate snow and less cold temps.

South heavy Russian attacks. Mountain unit is forced to retreat.

Units swarm west south of Stalino. Surround of Stalino now an issue

North open. Major push north of Pskov. Many of my units are split or split sec. I set up line weak each turn/.

I have not seen Russian breakthrough units in this area thus I think it will be contained.

Also if Russian neck gets tooo far west , I will plan armor chop chop for first snow turn.


I break up unit near Talinn and move 2 ss regiments east to help contain the most northern Russian advance.

Also, now, my rr line south of Lake Ilmen is under pressure.

I do best to evacuate from Stalino. I will probably lose the infantry unit who is a little slow getting out

Please note: German armor has been sent to area.

German generals considering letting them loose next turn, on last blizzard, not waiting for first snow of March.

Might not be expected by Russians. March attack would be expected.

omg. just finished reading this AAR. no leningrad, no moscow, no rostov. i see russian tanks in germany by 44.:) but maybe youcan at least finish off leningrad in 42.

well some retreats go in better directions than other retreats.

Now also trapped also in Stalino is a mech division.

What do I do moment

strategy session.

Besides considering summer O, I am spread out thin in spots. North Pskov, west of Kursk.

I continue to withdraw select armor and put on refit.

I think saving most of german armaments for spring refit is best move. Do not refit before or during blizzard .
In march and april I will also start refit on infantry going from 60% up to 90% for winning units.

We launch blizzard offensive as we fear Russians will plan for first snow attack. Thus using art of surprise.

By doing in blizzard Russian counter moves will be limited due to MP's

Starts off with a very nice Cav shatter
