SBs can trap a unit(BEF) in a coastal town by reducing the port's efficiency disallowing immediate transporting out, but its not a unit usually purchased at this stage.


In conjunction with the Italian SB the 2 Axis bombers can also isolate a portion of the map by reducing connected supply(<5) so that your opponents operations can be limited.

Med. bombers are also usefull in strat. bombardement, but other than strat. bombers they won`t attack a ressource if occupied. Usually in PbEMs the Axis lacks the MPPs to buy start. b., and researching the according tech makes them the most expensive units in game. Nevertheless quite usefull.

What I really find boring is moving everybody in baby steps to the West. Necessary to save MPPs though I doubt that would have been cheaper than operating irl.
