Hi, Mike Ok that answered the question. I saw no reason to train a pilot and then put him in reserve in the training group. It is a two step to get him to where he can be assigned to a real group. I am going to continue this game till I capture Manila and get onto Singapore then start over. I plan on starting my PBEM turn on Dec 2nd and sending it out on Dec 7th

I recommend you start your AAR now. You can ask questions there and get them answered.

HI, How can I start a AAR before the action? I am still in my abstract phase. First I look at what I have. Then I look at what I want. Next you imagine the position several months down the road. Then you start making moves that will get you to that position. I am still learning how long it takes to move between point a to point b. Next I want to eyeball production and pilot training so I can determine how many groups of what flavor I need in Home Islands turning out young eager and silly pilots. Then the whole nightmare of sorting out the logistics. I am giving myself 9 more days before I even start turn 1 for PBEM. (well not exactly. There is a lot I can do because it is the simple mundane crap that will remain the same no matter what.)

What scenario are you guys playing....GP

mogami -> RE: Dadman (11/24/2018 6:31:28 PM)

Hi, I want to play the long campaign with orders on turn 1. Japan pretty much gives up getting POW and Repulsive and then has to worry about their whereabouts but in order to unscramble the herd of cats you have to issue orders on turn 1. I like sub ops off but since you can set that in game I don't think that's a biggie. I like to vary the reinforcement schedule max but on turn 1 you know your new arrival dates but not the enemies. Screw the USN they get their bad torpedos.
I don't mess with upgrades much so Dadman can get what he wants there. Realistic R&D, I won't have a cow over withdrawals, What else?
