Armored Brigade is receiving its first update, bringing the game to version 1.002. You can download the update from here 1.002 Changelog - Fix: Missing Polish Mi-2 winter sprites. - Fix: Missing moving desert sprite for 8th men for Saracen Mech squad and Infantry squad. - Fix: Transparency on winter turret for GDR T-72 and on desert hull sprite for MTLB. - [ui] Implemented the 'battle positions and target reference points on/off' option. - [ui] Implemented the 'window edge map scroll on/off' option. - [database] Adjusted the T-64 reverse speeds. - [maps] Removed trees from streams and roads in forest. - [scenarios] Adjusted the 'Rear Guard', 'Midnight Surprise' and 'Who Will Stop the Rain' scenarios. - [gameguide] Updated the gameguide content.

Following the link for the update, 1.002, I get the following, for the Primary Server:- This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below. <response> <Result>false</Result> <ErrorCode>404</ErrorCode> <ErrorComment>Not Found: Download not available</ErrorComment> </response> And for the Secondary Server:- This page isn’t working ftp2.matrixgames.com didn’t send any data. ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE The only way I could update was through the start up menu.

I just used the update button on the Matrix game start screen a nd the update appears to have worked fine.

There seems to be a missing text file on the update/installer pop-up window but the install went fine. Or at least I think it did. Where can we check what version we are running? Nothing in the main screen or options window... Red Edit: This is as much as I could find in that regard... [image]https://i.postimg.cc/KzqmMQsQ/AB-update-02.jpg[/image] Which dosent seem right. Unless it´s for the Matrix launcher. --

Red The whatsnew.pdf didn't open for me either, but I think in my case it had something to do with Adobe Reader. I heard that at least for one person it was opened successfully. It can be found in the game folder. The game version number is in the game splash screen top-left corner.

i've just done it on 2 pc's and it worked both times, and was very fast as it's a small file / update, so maybe something locally or issue elsewhere, but it's working and been tested fine i'm sorry to say, all i can offer is try another browser or keep trying at different times etc, or use the members area links and not the ingame auto updater etc regarding the ftp sites, they don't always work straight away and give them a bit more time, and then they do, seems to be how it works for some reason, but in game auto updater does atm, and has been tested 2 times in the last 10 mins. but will report it either way, and see if other links can be provided etc

True, the in-game updtaer works fine. BUT, the updater - for some reason - doesn't give you an install choice - it is fixed to install in the matrix default, which is not where I have my copy installed. So can't use that, without moving my install.....

Use the in-game updater. It works fine. But make sure you first move your install to C\program Files (x86)\Matrix Games\ Armored Brigade If it's not already there.

I had no issues with the in-game updater, it found my folder where I have it installed with no issues. E\Armored Brigade

In-game updater does not work. I get the same error with varangy, Unable to download file, error occurred trying to open FTP

If you have a running AV program, you may need to make an exception for the new updater in the game's main folder.

I usually have to turn my AV off to get the Updater and my system able to read from the FTP site.

Now that I think of it. I did have to allow my W10 "Firewall" to let the updater fetch the file´s. At first I thought it was strange as AB has no MP, but now it makes sense as it wanted to connect to whatever source is used (ftp?) to download the update. Maybe that´s the issue with some...

Seems to have worked fine for me today! It did ask Windows Firewall for permission to access, but other than that, it went without a hitch.

Maybe we should wait for version 1.003 that includes Santa's helpers on the Finish side. Those reindeer should be really cool to watch. And I dare anyone to fire on them! Kevin

That didn't work for me. I had 1.0 installed on E: drive and the in-game updater didn't work so I uninstalled the game and reinstalled it on the default C: drive, disabled my Windows Firewall and the in-game updater still doesn't work. Neither of the two download links on Slitherine/Matrix site work. And I tried both Windows Internet Explorer and Edge browsers. I even tried with Safari on my Mac... NOTHING WORKS! NO WAY TO GET THE UPDATE.

I also cannot download the update. Have allowed the updater through my firewall, getting a Handle Cannot be Created Error. Also cannot download from either the primary or secondary ftp. Please add it to Steam so that we don't have to jump through so many hoops. I still buy primarily from Matrix. But the auto updating of Steam is so easy.

How weird: when I updated it on my laptop at work, everything went fine, but when I got home and decided to try it here - no luck. Either there's a problem with the servers that pops up regularly, or it's a common (possibly hardware-related) firewall issue. Hopefully Matrix can get this one sorted out quickly!

It still does not work for me, auto updater from start menu or manual download from ftp. Maybe devs or someone already get patch could share via dropbox or google drive? It seems not heavy file after all.
