Dysta -> Any ex-INF scenario/campaign? (1/24/2019 2:26:48 AM)

Inspired from this news: http://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/26138/russia-shows-off-parts-of-its-controversial-cruise-missile-system-but-not-the-missile-itself

All I know is there are some pre-INF scenarios about IRBM and GLCM exchanges during Cold War, and I am not talking about rising countries who aren't INF signators trying those new toys after Y2K. I am thinking if INF becomes history, how US, Russia and other IRBM-capable countries will rearm those weapons for 2019-202x war scenarios?

My expectation would be close to Northern Inferno, but with 2010s techs, stealth, and much complicated capaign than the Cold War situation. Nuclear exchange is also likely but vastly dwarfen and less likely to use by mere angers. Though, I may beg to differ and like to see how ex-INF wars turn out in CMANO.

I think the US should stick with INF but 'cooperate' with Japan to develop their own AA/AD ballistic weapons.

It isn't easy to make a new scenario with DB3000 weapons because those are 80s designs before the treaty.

Though, I can suggest some new ground-based SSMs based on the RAND's PDF report few weeks ago. I know many of them are still in development stage before the ex-INF, but it's not difficult to think of range extensions and some upgrades to be applied. US Army may be happy to have new missiles and doing their parts other than sitting idle.
