Just finished it last night. Fantastic book, best techno-thriller I've read in years. Cheers guys, can't wait for the next one.

Airborne Rifles -> RE: Northern Fury H-HOUR on Amazon (5/24/2019 5:54:57 PM)

Thanks drivingguy! Really glad you enjoyed it.
If you have time, leave us a review on Amazon.

Schr75 -> RE: Northern Fury H-HOUR on Amazon (5/24/2019 7:45:36 PM)

Finally.

I just received my copy of H-hour today.
I can´t wait to dig into it[:D]

And on a side note.
It was nice to put a face on you two guys after playing your scens and reading your AARs for several years.
I have really enjoyed playing the Northern Fury scens and reading the AARs.

Now you two guys just need to abandon all ideas of a family and professional life, and get cracking on the next book[:D]
Two years are too long[;)]

Are there any plans of releasing the book as a Nook book through Barnes and Noble?

Not for at least the next three months. We have signed on to an exclusive agreement with Amazon for the eBook as that gives us access to several of their programs such as their Kindle unlimited and Lending library.

We're still working our way through the pros & cons of these sorts of things but we won't be able to sell Nook Book or Kobi or any other electronic format until that arrangement has expired, it is for 3 months and we may extend it depending on how it works out.

Sorry about that. You're probably aware that there are ways of converting the files, here is an example: https://smallbusiness.chron.com/make-nook-kindle-formats-compatible-27494.html

B

I am reading the book at the moment, via Kindle Unlimited. I don't know what you get for that, but, I looked up the book, and it was in the program, so I'm reading it that way. (And, yes, enjoying it so far. Unfortunately, I'll be waiting for the 2nd book real soon!)

Edit: Finished the book today. Now I'll be waiting for more, after the ending. Gotta see what's going on next!

As far as E-book conversion, I use Calibre to do that. https://calibre-ebook.com/

My copy arrived today but it's in the reading queue for after Jame's Hornfischer's Neptune's Inferno: The US Navy at Guadalcanal.

That's an excellent one. I like Shattered Sword as well. Midway from a Japanese viewpoint.

The rest of the website is great too!

"Gauvin and Radunzel have managed something I thought impossible: they have reinvigorated the Third World War thriller"

Check out the great review of Northern Fury: H-Hour from Sea Lion Press!

22sec -> RE: Northern Fury H-HOUR on Amazon (7/27/2019 3:27:36 PM)

I finally got around to getting a copy. I’m not finished yet, but it has lived up to all my expectations. After being disappointed with the past few peer modern war fiction books I’ve read, this book nails it! My wife asked this morning how late I stayed up reading, and I told her. She looked at me with that really look, and all I could say was “the missiles started flying I couldn’t put it down.” Well done sirs![&o]

Gunner98 -> RE: Northern Fury H-HOUR on Amazon (7/27/2019 11:34:19 PM)

Glad you're enjoying it 22sec!

Would really appreciate a review if you have time.

magi -> RE: Northern Fury H-HOUR on Amazon (8/15/2019 5:33:13 PM)

Well I finished reading your book a day or so ago..... I normally don’t read a lot of fiction.. and while I thought the first couple chapters were a little stiff after that it sucked me in and it was totally immersive.... Often I would read the book for hours on end sometimes passing out with it in my hand ....
Initially some of the character seemed a bit generic... however as the pages went by they evolved nicely into complex plausible personalities.... and I already have a couple of my favorites ....

Having played in part or through most of the scenarios that are covered in the book..... made for a uniquely dynamic reading experience..... as I could often see the game and the maps visualized in my mind as I was reading or I could go to my computer and bring up the scenario...... I personally know of no other literary event that is so incorporated and if so.. you and Radunzel may have created a unique innovation to this craft ......

So.. I must say I immensely enjoyed your book...... and have great respect for your endeavor... The vast scope of this subject.. the complexity of the choreography of events in a plausible and professional manner.... and for a story very well told.....

You know I’m 70 now.. so there is a little possibility I will be here for the end of all of this ..... however it would be just lovely if I could read about taking Iceland back and the offensive operations against the Soviets in Norway....

Thank you and great luck with all of this .....

Gunner98 -> RE: Northern Fury H-HOUR on Amazon (8/15/2019 5:40:12 PM)

magi

Thank you for the kind words and glad you enjoyed the book, also thank you for your comments on the scenarios. I'm only 10 years behind you so working hard to finish while I'm still around [:D]

magi -> RE: Northern Fury H-HOUR on Amazon (8/15/2019 5:56:53 PM)

Hurry now.....

Pilgrim_slith -> RE: Northern Fury H-HOUR on Amazon (8/17/2019 12:15:14 PM)

The book arrived in my Kindle reader this morning. I have being playing the H-Hour scenario in the Steam workshop. Is that the same as the Northern Fury Stand alone DLC?
Anyway I am extreamly happy with CMANO. I played countless hours of Harpoon in old days on my Amiga and have been waiting for something like this. As an Icelandic I am particularly interested in the North Atlantic theater.

Northern Inferno is the standalone DLC that takes place in the 1970s.

Northern Fury is the scenario set and book that takes place in an alternate 1990s.

As Coiler12 says, the Northern Fury scenario series is available to anyone.

Book #1 H:Hour is sort of linked to the first three scenarios and the lead up to the war. We use the scenarios to give us ideas and a handrail for the action scenes. In Book #2 we will focus a lot of our time on Iceland. Joel has visited Iceland, I unfortunately have not - yet. Many of the scenarios from #7: 'Keflavik Capers' until about #26 'Land of Fire & Ice' focus on the battles on and around Iceland with a few divergences.

We hope you enjoy the scenarios and the book and eventually books.

Pilgrim_slith -> RE: Northern Fury H-HOUR on Amazon (8/25/2019 2:18:49 PM)

Thank you for clarifying that Coiler. Mixing up Northern Fury with Inferno.

Pilgrim_slith -> RE: Northern Fury H-HOUR on Amazon (8/25/2019 2:25:57 PM)

Thank you Gunner98.
I have lot of scenarios to look forward to play.
In H Hour scenario #1 the russians are seriously kicking my ass.
