The Soviet 17th Army and 6th Guards Tank Army had a costly go at Hirosaki/Aomori.
The Soviet 25th Army had a disappointing round at Maebashi that failed to reduce forts.
The two American and one Soviet armies that entered Tokyo last turn had all independent artillery units bombard to test the waters on the over 800 Japanese LCUs present.
