[image]local://upfiles/34194/23CFD587489346FCB1E814FB6F183201.jpg[/image] warspite1 I'm not so sure. I've checked the range of the Japanese ships and a Japanese Zero and - even with refuelling - this looks a tall order. I wonder why this hasn't been picked up by historians before? But while I agree that there is something fishy about the original version we've been told for 80 years, I don't think this was an inside job by the Americans. I suspect the British and the malevolent hand of Churchill is at play here. I further suspect that the British allowed their bases at Singapore, Ceylon, East Africa, South Africa, and Canada to refuel and replenish the Japanese task force to allow for an attack. The rationale is simple. This helps get the US in the war - a stated aim of Churchill from day 1. I think we've blown this one apart. The historians who've sold us a pup for 80-years all have egg on their faces now.
