Really, I don't understand how the Soviets can lose this much ground in '41. Looking at the soviet deployment from the most recent turns, it's far too linear. Such deployments inevitably lead to disaster after disaster. I understand that Bit voluntarily gave up Lenningrad this game. I can't even wrap my brain around that. If the general strategy is retreat, I get that, but if that's the strategy no encirclements = job #1. Certainly if you give up what is arguably the most defensible piece of real estate on the map, the Russian shouldn't be at 2.8M dead by mud. There's just no reason to give up ground AND take casualties...… Anyway, just seems odd to me. Great AAR as always Brian. I just don't know where you find the time.....
