kk6pr -> CMO/Silent Service Special Actions causing crash (12/7/2019 5:10:40 PM)

Anyone else notice this problem in the Lone Wolf and Creeping Death scenarios? After selecting the Special Actions (VLF comms) the program immediately exits upon resuming play. I've reported this in the Tech Support forum, but haven't heard a reply.

I've reported also problems with two scenarios of Silent Service, with no reply. I hope that there will be a correction in the next update, as I think these are bugs known.

It also happens for the Game Changer scenario when selecting the Special Action for picking which sub to play.

The 'exception log' lists 4 'invalid data type' and 2 'Nullable object must have a value' errors.

We're aware of this and are working on it, sorry for the inconvenience.

Workaround:
1 Find the 'command.exe.config' file in you CMO folder (should be in same folder as command.exe)
2 Back it up
3 Save the attchment as a ZIP file
4 unzip the file
5 Start up CMO

When CMO hits this error, it will display some messages on the screen but you will be able to continue playing.

Interestingly, you can still press the SA button, and it will often respond correctly after showing the errors.

This is NOT a solution, but a temporary way to keep playing.

The updated scenarios are being released together with a new general update very soon, before end of this week.

The beta build Build 1134.2 has the new Lua libraries which should fix this if you want to apply it.
