Corrected the enemies objectives so its clear its the Germans job to conquer,

Vyasma 1941

Enemy objective is not correctly formulated (The Soviets must not capture...) :

Fixed the typo and held a speech which had a remarkable influence on the troops as you can see in the image below!

quote:

ORIGINAL: terminator

Leningrad 1944

- Typo: Brillant victory -> Brilliant victory

- Russian infantry units don’t have the right orientation, we have the impression that they are fleeing

Normal is now normal and i changed the order as you recommended. Thanks for the report.

Hi Ronald,

I have the impression that the symbol of Normal Victory is always gold?

That's because it was. This is determined by the "action" part and the normal victory was declared a brilliant there. I have changed it to normal now. Thanks.

Sea of Azov (1/2)

Objectives:
- typo: Domniate -> Dominate
- Dnepr = Dnieper (it would be better to keep the same term)
- where is Saparoshe on the map ?

Its true, the names should be consistent during all texts to avoid confusion. Add my usual amount of typos as well as the many possible transcription and things can get messy.

Saporoshe is a variant of this town:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zaporizhia

And a variant of that name (Zaporozhe) is listed as one of four variants of that cities' name. I admit i fell victim to the many names any town or landscape feature may have while i typed the texts.

I reworked the parts you mentioned here accordingly

quote:

ORIGINAL: terminator

Sea of Azov (2/2)

The Event "DnieperCrossing" is very unlikely to trigger due to Condition "Reached by Aircraft" :

Actually the opposite is the case as it means aircraft count, too. Maybe this should be removed to avoid gamy stuff ?

Ronald Wendt -> RE: Soviet Dawn Beta Test Ausf. E (3/18/2020 7:02:04 AM)

The briefing and several other texts have been reworked to fit the '44 scenario and landings are now announced in Soviet red.

Crimea 1944 (1/2)

Briefing : "conquer the peninsula in order to stop Soviet(?) bombing of Romania" [&:]

ORIGINAL: terminator

Crimea 1944 (2/2)

The Text messages for the landing of the Soviet troops (16 & 20 Rifle Corps of the Seperate Coastal Army) should have a red background :

Hi Ronald,

The name Saporoshe/Zaporozhe is also given in the Soviet officer's atlas. One thing I appreciate about the Soviets is their military maps.

I keep to this system when giving names:

- for German campaigns - names used on German maps of that time
- for Soviet maps - names used on Soviet or modern Russian maps showing the operations of WW2

If you need advice from someone who understands Russian let me know.

Your system is good as it aligns with the side your playing. As all research for Soviet Dawn is long done i only would need help for the current maps. Meaning if there are wrong names or an uncommon version of a name or if its inconsistent within scenario like terminator found it to be in Azov. But thanks for the offer, maybe i will need it on other occasions as there are still Soviet battles i have not depicted. But all in good time.[;)]

Regards,

Hi Ronald,

I don’t quite understand what you mean (?)

If "Reached by Aircraft" is activated, an air unit hovering over one of the hexes needed for the condition to trigger will also occupy it.

Lwow

The enemy briefing now sounds like one, thanks for the report.

Vienna:

The enemies mission is now fixed.

Jassy-Kishinev

Aircraft could not be bought or deployed as the supply hexes were marked for the Axis side.

The briefing has equal linebreaks for both conditions now.

The markers are now red as they should be. The LII corps event works now and is triggered in turn 9. There is no text to announce this. You have to bee in the area to notice it.

Do not think you can take the war effort lightly once you left Soviet soil. Failure will get you what you deserve even at this stage of the war. (Wrong campaign end pointer is fixed)

During all my tests this Event was never activated because I have no reason to place an aircraft above the marked hexagons. I discovered this Event by chance with the Editor. This event should be triggered by land units whose purpose is to occupy the marked hexagons and not by air units.

Agreed, it does not fit in. Will change this and prepare Ausf.F if nothing else is up.
