ORIGINAL: warspite1 Good question about the factories - I am not sure I'm afraid. I would imagine the 'lost to strat bombing' in the production planning would show what is lost already perhaps? Re the attack - let's go with Blitz please. Edit - yes, there you go - click on 'lost to strat bombing' eh voila quote:
o do it is to bring up the production screens (cntl-P), pick the major power you want to check, and select factories. Bombed factories should say "Lost", as opposed to idle or producing. I hope this is correct; I can't remember ever actually looking to see what factories I've bombed. Next time I bomb a factory I'll look. Would it be possible to put all the resources going to factories to idle until later in the turn and make you safe from part of the bombing? And then look what factories are functional before sending the resources? No. Here is the rule: quote:
TARGET HEXES A target hex can be any hex that contains an enemy controlled usable factory. A factory is usable if the controlling side could transport a resource to it and, if they did, it would produce a production point (see 14.6.1). Clarification: “Could transport” means that at the time of the strategic bombardment, a resource could be transported (e.g., a convoy pipeline is in position). quote:
If the target is a factory hex, that number of production points will be lost from the factory owner’s production point total for the turn (see 13.6.3). Clarification: Destroyed factories are still destroyed if ownership changes hands. Production points are still lost to the major power that controlled the factory during the bombing, even if it changes hands later in the turn. You can’t lose more production points in a turn than there are usable factories in the hex or more oil than there are oil resources there. Clarification: The maximum production point loss is determined at the time of strategic bombardment.
