For one there is a limit on battle reports which is very problematic if someone is spamming recons and bombing missions (just 1000), older battles get overriden by new battles. But this may be a bug, will have to investigate. But with this damned lockdown I'm occupied by caring for my family :(

Yes, I believe this is a bug because there are literally no battle indicators for rail line attacks by partisans even though the are taking place. Definitely tedious for the Russians because you now have to search for rail damage caused by partisans.

Do you think it is this bug? https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4323500

No, because there isn't a battle indicator like it used to be. It's just a visual issue.

Bozo_the_Clown -> RE: Bozo is back from retirement and has lots of questions (4/4/2020 2:15:38 PM)

I've posted multiple battle reports in the past were Romanian infantry divisions suddenly surrender. Most or all of those are plausible because of low moral or supply status (+100 MP).

The following battle report during blizzard is really hard to understand. The Hungarian unit is in perfect supply, located in a city, and has a valid retreat path. It has normal moral and was never in combat before. Why does the unit surrender?

The 999 battles bug is just a visual issue. It just means there is not a battle indicator like there used to be too?

I think that was the question Morvael was asking was os you visual issue of no battle indicator the same one?

BrianG -> RE: Bozo is back from retirement and has lots of questions (4/4/2020 4:15:59 PM)

I also just had an in supply cav unit surrender in a battle. These should be routs if in supply. It was 3 hexes from a supplied rr, all clear hexes, although zone locked.

Supplied units should rout or shatter. unless over 100 mp's from suuply. Which this was not.

My opponent's Hungarian unit wasn't even zone locked.

morvael -> RE: Bozo is back from retirement and has lots of questions (4/4/2020 8:07:23 PM)

Will do my best to find out why they surrender.

morvael -> RE: Bozo is back from retirement and has lots of questions (4/5/2020 8:50:01 AM)

Units are marked as surrendering when the displacement move is unable to find proper hex to move them to. I need saves where this happens to replicate the calculations and find out what is wrong. BTW some bugs in the code were fixed, so maybe this is no longer an issue, but I have to confirm that. Please, give me some saves.

for me it is turn 17 of my latest server battle versus Tyronec.

I am russians.

Understood. Unfortunately, this is a server game. There definitely was a proper hex to move to and I am guessing the unit had 45 morale and perfect supply.

If I ever see this in a solo game, I will mail the save.

morvael -> RE: Bozo is back from retirement and has lots of questions (4/5/2020 3:14:31 PM)

The only case where displacement via enemy lines should be impossible for supplied units, is when they are supplied by sea. This was done to prevent Courland pocket routing to East Prussia through Soviet lines (and the like beachheads).

Bozo_the_Clown -> RE: Bozo is back from retirement and has lots of questions (4/9/2020 3:39:47 PM)

Another super weird combat result. Rifle Corps in perfect supply and with good morale simply surrenders. It has a valid retreat path and the Cavalry Corps was able to retreat. Does it trigger a surrender, if the stack the unit is retreating to has 3 units in it?

eskuche -> RE: Bozo is back from retirement and has lots of questions (4/9/2020 6:28:42 PM)

I posted a similar issue recently. It should be fixed in 12.05.

Bozo_the_Clown -> RE: Bozo is back from retirement and has lots of questions (4/10/2020 11:18:50 PM)

How does the Destroy Unit function work? Where can I find info about it?

eskuche -> RE: Bozo is back from retirement and has lots of questions (4/10/2020 11:23:39 PM)

HQ or airbase disappears and reappears with 0 men and full MP in the Urals under STAVKA. Free of AP I think. It was in 12.04 so not explained very much. Purpose was to avoid holding soviet fronts hostage in isolated hexes, since displace is no longer an option.

Thanks, and HQs now get destroyed when they are isolated, correct?

I have a corp HQ with zero TOE way behind the lines which refuses to disappear. at turn 23.

I would show photo but it seems file size is restricted to 500KB and my 'print screens' must be larger. [&:]

Bozo_the_Clown -> RE: Bozo is back from retirement and has lots of questions (4/11/2020 3:09:36 PM)

Please refresh my memory. Destroyed units come back but cost AP? If the Russians have no AP the units come back anyway? [&:][&:][&:]

Is this info still up to date?
